junkyarddog
I don't get why spot on models are substantially more expensive than similar era Dinkys? I've got two,a 105e and a Zodiac, they are quite nice, but no better than the competition. I didn't pay a fortune for them either.
eddyramrod
My pleasure! But, do go through the packaging again, as the TR definitely had a Ramrod screen. I took them both off the cars for postage. Datsuncog

The Corgi one is complete, just has a broken tow hook Yeah, the Dinky LR that @Amishtat picked up on my behalf the other week is in need of a pair of wheels - but if this one can be saved in its entirety, then go for it! I'm slowly compiling a list of parts for a Steve Flowers order, so will add rims/tyres. Cheers for the heads-up, though!

junkyarddog
Bought this superfast Mercedes 300se last week. Decided to have a bit of fun and turn it into a sealed door regular wheels version, using this battered donor car. Painted using cheap aerosols,a coat of gold first followed by Orange. Not quite the same as the original, but close enough. You like it Smoll Eddy? "Regular wheels r the best wheels M8" Will built a superfast opening door version someday. bunglebus
I had some arrivals too; First up, 1:43 Norev R4 van, unusual tailgate arrangement on this one Next, another Norev but a Minijet R18 Onto Lone Star, firstly this couple of buggies, the more square-edged (and kinda ugly) one is the only body style that I hadn't tracked down, these were sold under six different names using three bodies and three roofs, swapping them about to give the different versions Lastly, another Lone Star, a Road Master Zodiac estate. Thought this might be a repaint but it looks like lemon yellow and nuclear green are the factory colours on this one 155V6, Jon, Amishtat and 5 others

No Honda Civics though Also in case none of you know, Halfrauds are doing a clearance of rattle cans at £3 each You have a Honda Civic now, I got a yellow one for you today. Not much else of interest to me, and the HW selection wasn't very exciting apart from a red Honda City (which I passed on). Shame I didn't know about the Halfords cans, I could have popped in and got some. Did make it into the model shop however and stocked up on Tamiya TS sprays, Humbrol/Revell enamels etc. flat4alfa

Not seen that one, but there are so many different ones from multiple manufacturers, it's impossible to get any idea how many alternative ones there are. Yours has quite distinctive wheel arches though flat4alfa

Amishtat
More poorly photographed Corgis I forgot having. DoctorRetro
Oh go on then, if you insist. I was bidding on a guisval one with no doors but got sniped at the last second. eddyramrod
I've never owned a Horizon, but I have been crashed into by one, 35 years ago. I was in a T25 pickup so I survived. Looks like it should just be a case of sticking it all back together again. I'm surprised at managing to find even the tiniest pieces despite it having been through five house moves. Need to do one more rummage through the boxes to find the bumper brackets, then liberate some wheels from another kit as I used the originals on that recently completed 1966 Chevelle. Should be a quick and easy weekend project. My Ford Purple Velvet example has literally been gathering dust since the build stalled about seven years ago, maybe I should give it a clean and get it finished. It'll look good in Purple Velvet Mine wasn't as bad as that, a quick wipe with a tiny bit of Autoglym polish has seen it looking decent again. I have to admit that it isn't going together as easily as I'd hoped, or recalled from the first time around...... Thank you for the bumper bracket offer. Someone on MCM has also offered a set, and I have managed to find one so far.

bunglebus
I had a rather more successful morning at the boot sale Full report to follow but there were some definite bargains If anyone sees anything here they fancy, he'll be back next week - larger loose cars were £5 and the Matchbox size £4 or three for £10 - more than normal boot sale prices but out of a collection and the smaller stuff especially left me with an empty wallet...
