It's a bosozoku-style fantasy, with pointers to the Datsun C110 Skyline 'Ken-Mari'; one of two takeyari-equipped bubble-flared shark-nosed zokusha in the Hot Wheels lineup since 2012. No, I doubt I could read that through again either.
DoctorRetro
I knew it was bosozoku, just couldn't quite tell which car. Thanks for the info. ?
bunglebus
There's a coupe version, too, I did think about getting the cabrio one for a custom but I'd already done the first version; P4230038_zpssanrrwtb by RS, on Flickr P4230037_zpsx2xmbt9l by RS, on Flickr Got this Matchbox Opel Diplomat finished today. Tried to keep it in a period colour, painted the interior grey as white seemed wrong. Left all the casting marks etc on the body as it's so small I was worried I'd get rid of something that was meant to be there. Just a bit of silver and chrome paint to finish, engine bay is unrestored. 20200408_163934 by RS, on Flickr 20200408_163903 by RS, on Flickr 20200408_163958 by RS, on Flickr Burnside, Sudsprint, Remspoor and 6 others
flat4alfa
POST LADY WEDNESDAY All the way from Spain, a Guisval Ford Mustang I’d been hankering over. Bought quite cheaply, considering how much usually gets asked. So postage didn’t hurt quite as much ....and all the way from Barrow-in-Furness, a proper original Hot Wheels Custom Fleetside, now with a set of axles and wheels fitted morrisoxide, eddyramrod, Sudsprint and 2 others

NorfolkNWeigh
Spent a couple of hours with Diet Nitromors and wire wool removing a out 6 coats of paint from this yesterday, FathaN remembers it being grey with red flashes when it was new. I found some Matt battleship grey in the shed then I lacquered it wth some Volvo clearcoat. Probably going to leave it as I’m so hamfisted, I’ll fuck it up if I try to paint any detail in , maybe do the wheels red ? bunglebus, Spottedlaurel, Sudsprint and 4 others 6

I've straightened it out a bit, but littlun wants different wheels on it.. Either a small flat blade screwdriver to ease the tabs apart, or carefully cut the tabs with a dremel. Alternative is to cut through the axle with side cutters if you're not keeping the old ones (I like having spares). You can use glue to keep the new axle in place, just keep it in the middle, jel superglue and baking soda is good as it sets hard instantly. Good luck! My Cult SD1 and XJ6 are the same. That’s the only thing that slightly detracts — they are otherwise excellent and really capture the overall nature of the cars as well as the specific details. DoctorRetro
Not sure I want the faf of changing the wheels. However, the bonnet does need replacing. Unfortunately, the plastic I usually use is too thick, so I used some tiny metal sheets I have. Took a while with my fake dremel to get it the right shape....
