Shite in Miniature II

A couple of finds this morning.I used to hate the Corgi fantasy vehicles, but they're growing on me.

The F1 Stock Car was bought just because it's got Thunderbirds graphics on it & I liked it ?

The Escort came from Tesco, they also had loads of Matchbox, but all old stuff.Shame,as they're 3 for 2 at the moment.

Some assorted recent arrivals, old and new.

Tuf-tots Decap is the closest I'll get to owning a real one

Harvest Gold Maxishite. Oxford have had three attempts at this colour and they're all different.

Pretty decent Husky Zephyr estate. Broken bumper (TADTS) but glazing and tailgate are intact.

And to go with it, Oxford's Zephyr saloon

I bought a second Oxford Zephyr as a wheel donor for the Husky so I had some fun and made this, straight from the pages of Custom Car magazine in the 1980s.

Finally got hold of an elusive Cararama Ford Puma.

As a bonus, it came in a two-pack with this Focus. Pity Carabanana decided to model the rally version rather than a normal one.

And finally, some of the Tomytec Car Collection in 1/80 (Japanese HO) that come in sealed boxes and are intended to be collected like trading cards. Lovely models but rare in the UK. I'd never heard of a Toyopet Masterline or a Prince Clipper.

Love the Puma,is that the one that was on eBay last week & I forgot to bid on?  ?

Quite likely. If it's any consolation I forgot to bid first time round and it ended with no bids. Someone else bid on the relisting so I had to pay a bit more :(

Is the DAF girder truck a Superfast? If so, and they're also £2 each, I'd be interested in that and the tipper version if you're heading back there and they still have them please. I need a top for my Not Mint in Tatty Box example.

Just picking up on this now - I honestly can't remember which wheels are on the DAF, but I'll take a run over to the model shop and see if they're both still there.

Seemed pretty good value, given how uncommon complete versions of these trucks seem to be. The Ergomatic was virtually mint too, despite the extreme flimsiness of the hut on the back.

The 1977 Matchbox catalogue has been rather difficult to find at a decent price, wasn't worried about getting every year, but as I was born in '77 I wanted this one!

It was also a pain to scan as it's too big to scan two pages at a time. This has taken hours to scan, rotate and crop!

Anyway, enjoy...

I was heavily into the Tomica Limited Vintage stuff about 6 years ago when I began to admire Japanese classics, but I found them too pricey for me as well as them being 1:64 scale, I preferred to collect 1:43 stuff at that time. I always wanted to get one of the Seibu Kiesatsu sets which were quite rare, but in the end never got to.

Saying that, I did manage to get a few Tomica LVs back then. I've got two Honda 1300s (a 77S & a 99s) which I bought as a job lot, they're not mint but I'm glad I've got some from the series.

I would recommend them for those who are interested in Japanese oddities from the 70's and 80's, but only if your willing to splash out some cash for them. The quality of these models are really good too.
