French Dinky 25M (Studebaker) has a very similar tipper body and French? Dinky 35A (Citroen U23) has a very similar cab.   I'm no expert though.

This has the 35A chassis and cab. I cant place the tipper yet, it's not the 25M

I'll strip it for repaint one day, when large chunks of filler fall out it'll answer my question..

Got my old Convoys out for a bit of Kris Kristopherson action.

Do you want/need the black Peterbilt and Midnight X-Press? It'll be going on sale in my tent of tat at Shitefest if not.

Thinking of which, I ought to show here what I'll be putting up for grabs, just in case anything there would be of interest to those who can't make it.

Hmm could be of interest! Post up what you are selling?

By some miracle of an extra day being available in this Leap Year, I finally finished off the Prelude kit I started in late 2015:

It's not my taste at all, but for some reason the combination of paint colour, wheels and base vehicle got stuck in my head and I had to recreate it somehow. Inspired by the late '90s Euro Lowrider scene:

While I was taking photos, I also dragged this one out of the cabinet:

I need to dial back the negative camber on this corner.....

Kit and paint by Tamiya, wheels from a Japanese kit.

Got a standard 5 kit by Esci to do at some point, I hope that one comes out as nicely.

damn

idea duplicated

I will have to think again

Didn't really occur to me before I posted the pics, but I don't think you'd get away with making those two cars these days - Red Baron in a Beetle and some tally-ho WW1 pilot in a Mini.

VW wouldn't allow it if nothing else!

Went to Asda.  Hot Wheels selection dismal.  Plenty of some obscure cheap brand though and the only thing of any interest was the £1 blue/white van thing.

Went into antique shop.  A Motormax Dodge Omni jumped out for £3.  Nice colour, missing its bumpers but looks smart and tidy otherwise.  Is it a rarity over this way?

Popped into charity shop.  Chatted to the nice lady and asked about toy cars.  Was reluctantly shown a selection behind the scenes in the 'eBay corner'.

Out jumped a boxed Tomica VW Microbus and a boxed Met Osul  VW van.  Not into the VW scene (never was) but thought they might be worth picking up.  Nice lady said £1.50 each.  So a fiver was donated.  Result: neighbourhood 1, eBay nil

The Majorette VW Van (I've had since I was a boy) joined them for a photoshoot.

Went into Tesco.  Shoddy.  HW container empty; MB container still full of unsold 2019 stock but did have new stock of 5-Packs though

Oh look a Fox-body Mustang, haven't got one of those.  And this is in a County Sheriff's colours too.  Boone County?  Where's that?  So will have to look it up.   Fairlane Wagon also of interest, as was the colour of the Cayman.  Fiat 500X ok.  Chevrolet, meh.  £7.50 spent

IMG_1788.JPG

Found out that this livery has been used before by MB and also by Greenlight.  I wonder why...?

Anyhow, there are three Boone Counties: this one is in Missouri.  The others are Kentucky and Indiana.  A simple innocent trip to Tesco, yet Geographical research prevails.

Trouble is, I am now going to be stuck knowing I don't have the full set of Boone tat.
