Split_Pin
Cant comment on the Capri as I have never had a Corgi one, only a Matchbox Rolamatics Hot Rocker and a Super GT. I do have both the Terrier and the Commando though. The Terrier cab is spot on, really accurate. Recent manufactures of the G-cab from BT models are way off in comparison. However the body and cab being one moulding always irritated me as a kid. Box trucks are meant to be a just that, a chassis, a body and a cab. Whilst the Commando cab isn't quite as finely detailed and the side window is too shallow, it still does a pretty good job. But as a toy it has much more value. It has a separate body with opening doors and a proper chassis. Although I have a big soft spot for 'Redline' Leylands due to their Scottish connection, the Commando is the better model. eddyramrod
I'm going to vote Corgi on both of those. MB really couldn't have got the Capri's wheels (and therefore arches) much worse, could they? As for the trucks, I have the same reservation about the Corgi's cast-in body, but the cab is just so much better. Skizzer

Bren
I have quite a few super kings. One of my earliest memories is having the bazooka. I still have a few matchbox kits - the local newsagents stocked them. Airfix or revell meant a trip into town. Split_Pin

vulgalour
I realised that my collection is starting to sprawl and to stray away from my initial intention of one original and one custom of each model. So, I've decided to cut out a big pile of stuff and offload it on you lot. I am happy to do swaps on any Husky, Matchbox (ideally pre-1980, not interested in really modern stuff for the most part), and parts such as glazing, doors, wheels, etc. for either of these manufacturers. Prices do not include postage, that'll vary depending on how much you get so I'd prefer to post on a batch-by-batch basis. Lorries - 10p each, £1 for the lot. Bin lorry only has half the back, fridge truck has no back door (as usual) Americans - 50p each, £2 for the lot Lincoln SOLD to Sierraman Rolls Royces - 50p each, £1 for the lot (all intact except the drophead which is minus the glass and folded roof, has been drilled out too) Random Lot - 10p for Cortina (no base, otherwise intact), 50p for the Routemaster, 50p for the Lamborghini Routemaster SOLD to MarvinsMom Unimog and Field Cars - 50p each, £1 for the lot. Unimog missing glass and tyres. White Field Car is a custom I abandoned, would be a fairly easy one to complete for someone with a file and a can of paint. Random lot #2 - 10p each, 50p the lot. The Seasprite hellingflopter is actually in reasonable shape and complete, the rest are just good for parts. Hurlyfloofer SOLD to Egg VW Camper SOLD to Sierraman Brace of Fandangos - 50p. Buy one, get one free! Farm Stuff - 10p each, 50p the lot Tractors SOLD to Sierraman Six-cylinder
vulgalour
Ramrod* Repaint - FREE This is a Ramrod original and therefore probably highly valuable! Take advantage today. - EDIT: not a Ramrod original! Tell people it is anyway and impress them with your valuable acquisition. Hot Wheels - 50p each, £2 the lot. WAAAmbulance. I've had this ages and done nothing with it, please take it off me - Free Short-legged dogs - 10p for the Ogle Scimitar body, 50p each for the rest, £2 the lot More short legged dogs - 10p for the crashed Kojak car, 50p each for the rest. Trailer is FREE. £2 the lot Saint Jag SOLD to Sierraman Even more dogs with short legs - 50p each, £2 the lot. Aston Martin has a metal base, could probably kill a man with it. vulgalour
I apologise for the shittiness of the photographs. Just pretend it's part of the experience, as if you're feverishly rummaging through the Tat Box with Datsuncog. Next up, repaints, for which I shall use my better quality archive photographs. As with the above, postage is extra and will vary depending on how much you grab. Corgi Ferrari 512S - £3 please Matchbox #44 Boss Mustang - £2 please Hot Wheels 34 Ford Coupe - £1 please (it's not quite as perfect as these pictures thanks to being one of my first customs using Humbrol enamels) Corgi Jaguar XJ-S - £1 please
sierraman
I’ll go for the red rolls Royce, the green Lincoln continental, modern green Land Rover, the black DS, the 10p cortina, the white xjs and the Merc ambulance. Terrific toy that, I have several pictures of me as a lad with one my Granny gave me.
