Felly Magic
My goodness, what a haul of wobbly French plastic there JM. Gama Cavaliers have hillarious panel gaps, and the Bulgarian copies, oh boy. I may have a Fronterror on it's way too in lwb form. I am now after the Vauxhall Astra merit mk3 now, seen plenty of GSis about for cheap, but not the Merit Burnside and Junkman

Bren
Early 70's corgi juniors were great. By the late 70' s they were awful with cheap plastic bases. The majorette volvo estate is far superior to the corgi offering.
eddyramrod
What sort of condition is it in Eddy? I've been looking for a decent one for ages.Or indeed any other nice(ish)condition majorette, thanks.I'm sure I can help you there. The DS is quite nice actually: still has the lift-up tailgate and both fender flags, for example. junkyarddog

IMG_20190114_120009~2.jpg I agree on the later post advising to leave alone and possibly apply some Wall's decals.....However, should a worse-looking one materialise I often thought it would be good to do one of these in navy blue and add the Pickfords Removals transfers intended for the Guy van..... egg

I am very pleased to see confirmation that it was Norev, not a misguided young me, that coloured those Ferrari lamps. I always thought I had daubed the dreaded Humbrol Silver on mine as a kid..... egg
Now there's a thought. Paint loss is worse on the other side, but I'm happy to leave alone and just get the stickers. Think it is a fairly early one, think these were made 1957-61, but a google suggests the later ones got more yellowish-white trailers. One spigot only to attach the tractor unit. I always thought I had daubed the dreaded Humbrol Silver on mine as a kid..... They are actually plated. Now, if you remembered the factory photos I once posted and in particular the one showing who plated them, you might look at those headlights with an entirely new outlook. Edit: Found it. Burnside
Inspired by Felly, I've dug out my MK3 Cavaliers / Vectra A's and my Calibra. Plus here is some of my other Gama Opel / Vauxhalls Kadett / MK2 Astra. Belmont has had a RHD dash swap and Vauxhall Cavalier wheels fitted from my spares stash. Kadett / MK1 Astra with wheel swap to replicate one I used to see years ago on the road. Corsa B. The 5dr I resprayed to look like a 1.2 Merit I used to see locally till recently. As liked the colour and thought it be nice to repaint this tatty one the same shade. An almost forgot my Mk3 Astra V-Grile I did a wheel swap using the same Corsa wheels I had spare to make it look more Merit spec! Six-cylinder
I will have to do the same, but tomorrow now. Edit: My whole model collection is based on the cars I have owned or had as company cars, working in the motor trade I have ignored the one night stands of which there were many. My Vauxhall years were 1991 -1994 and in 3 years I had 5 Cavaliers, 3 Carltons and a Calibra new. All the Cavaliers were CDi hatches except the first one that was a SRi Hatch. Two of the three Carltons were estates but I can not find a model of that generation Carlton estate. eddyramrod, Junkman, Skizzer and 3 others
Felly Magic
Burnsidew there are a few wants there!!!!! I want a stash of Astra GTEs to rhd a few Kadetts to Astras, plus my Kadett Combo to a Bedford Astramax, which we all know is the world's fastest van, esp in ex YEB diesel form LOL, yes I have driven one, and that mk3 Astra..... I want one to make in to another driving school car, perhaps having a crack at doing a BSM car. Anyway, here's my Cav on Opel rims and detailed rear lights Cavalier hatchback in Autoshite flavour, might see if the Astramax wheels fit it tomorrow for the plain steels look Grim interior Roll on my Calibra and Frontera turning up, Burnside, Skizzer, Junkman and 2 others

bolognasal spray
nerd alert but i wish these manufacturers wouldn't bother with opening doors, boots, bonnets etc. - i appreciate kids might prefer 'em, but for the sake of the casting's precision, they make the toy look crap and just in case you think i'm being a grumpy old man i even thought this when I was a kid so nerrr

Tenmil Socket
I have a number of Corgi Escort's all as hatchbacks and a Matchbox cabriolet (all MK3). The other day I stumbled across a model collection on Google which contained a Corgi MK3 Escort cabriolet! I've never seen this model before. Has anyone else? Also I've never seen any MK4 Escorts (Corgi/Matchbox)?
