Felly Magic Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Been watching a lot of these Greenlight/M2/Hotwheels collector vids lately, that canadian bloke with the dodgy mullet has a right old stash, daft bugger got gredit out to buy some uber rare ones, he's a serious junkie for diecast to do that
Spottedlaurel Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 When I was a youngster I got the Superfast Escort RS2000, and it had the windows installed back-to-front. Back then it disappointed me, but perhaps now the combined effect of it being an error and OSF means I should pinch it back from my son’s toybox, sell it and retire on the proceeds?.... On the subject of which, the built Escort Mk2 collection went for £102. For seven kits that actually sounds quite reasonable.
Felly Magic Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Arthur seems to have cornered the market on old Ladas it seems strangeangel, Six-cylinder, mercrocker and 7 others 10
oldcars Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 I so want a Samara model, where did you get them from?
Felly Magic Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Ebay, the 3 door came from a seller in the Midlands, just search Lada in Toys & Games. The burgundy hatch & saloon came from the Ukraine, as well as all 3 Rivas. Eagerly awaiting some 1970s era Ladas which are also DeAgostini partworks oldcars 1
RoadworkUK Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 That's £6 worth of eBay BNIB 1:18 Pug by Welly. Probably at least 18x moere reliable than the real thing Junkman, eddyramrod, Banger Kenny and 5 others 8
Mr Laurence Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 That's a £6 model?! You could've convinced me that it was real... Sudsprint and Junkman 2
eddyramrod Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 I'm finding it hard to believe there's such a thing as a £6 model left in any scale above 1/76.... Junkman 1
Pillock Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 I like the realistic way they've modelled it with a catastrophic roof failure. Ditchfinder General and srad34 2
Noel Tidybeard Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 IMAG8075.jpg That's £6 worth of eBay BNIB 1:18 Pug by Welly. Probably at least 18x moere reliable than the real thing £48 + £15 pistage
RoadworkUK Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Well, £6 and £3.50 P&P. Thing is, I have absolutely no interest in the 206CC, but this particular example fell within my preset "1/18, ending soonest, less than £15" search parameters. I took a flyer wondering "how bad can it be?" Answer is, it can't.
Split_Pin Posted October 31, 2016 Author Posted October 31, 2016 I often buy scale models of cars I'm not really interested in because I love pretty much anything in miniature. Junkman 1
steveo3002 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 costco has a stack of 1/18 in store for about £12 , few old muscle cars , and other cool ones , alright for the money RoadworkUK 1
RoadworkUK Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Yeah, Costco has the new Ford GT in stock, meant to be a good model. But one I need even less than a 206cc. And CBA to go to Ipswich. There be Witches. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
Junkman Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 I often buy scale models of cars I'm not really interested in because I love pretty much anything in miniature. Guilty as charged, but I decided to finally make a cut and at least get rid of my Mercedesessereses.
mercrocker Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Guilty as charged, but I decided to finally make a cut and at least get rid of my Mercedesessereses. That may be of interest....Will a Fersale Fred be forthcoming?
Junkman Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Sadly I guess they will go on eBay, since I quite selfishly want serious money for them.Check for example 1/18 Revell 450 SEL prices on eBay to see what I mean.
mercrocker Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 No harm in asking serious money. Worth a linky when you're done listing, though! Junkman 1
rml2345 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Just checked what those Revell 450SELs are fetching. You could have a W140 for that... Junkman 1
NorfolkNWeigh Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Well, £6 and £3.50 P&P. Thing is, I have absolutely no interest in the 206CC, but this particular example fell within my preset "1/18, ending soonest, less than £15" search parameters. I took a flyer wondering "how bad can it be?"Answer is, it can't.Unlike the real thing.Looking at this, I've just realised our 206CC hasn't moved since it was MOT'd in August, so much for my daughters and their " We'll all use it as a fun car, please keep it !" I'm going to buy a Welly one , place it outside on the window ledge, they'll think it's parked down the side of the house, then sell the full size one to someone desperate for a convertible for the winter...... eddyramrod, DVee8, mercrocker and 2 others 5
Spottedlaurel Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Got my eBay purchase Italeri Transit in the post today. It seems to nicely capture the feel of the real thing, just a shame it's not a pre-facelift Mk2, or even a Mk1. Now just to decide how to (eventually) build it..... Junkman 1
Split_Pin Posted October 31, 2016 Author Posted October 31, 2016 That's going to be lovely built. I'd love one of those but I've got 2 projects waiting patiently at the moment already!
Junkman Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 That's going to be lovely built. I'd love one of those but I've got 2 projects waiting patiently at the moment already! And your point is?
Split_Pin Posted November 1, 2016 Author Posted November 1, 2016 House is upside down at the moment being renovated. Plus point is that my wife and I are building a hobby room so after that's finished in a few weeks it's chocks away! Junkman 1
Spottedlaurel Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 I have 1:24/25 scale projects which have been ‘waiting patiently’ for 20-25 years now, and have gone through four house moves. They’re still in progress and they will be finished, one day…. Junkman, eddyramrod and mercrocker 3
mercrocker Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 I have a shoebox full of Spot On projects under the bed. Bought all the parts which are still in their little plastic bags. One of them is a Landcrab I was going to do to match mine. I sold that 1800 in 2002.... On the plus side lots of the small parts are now even more expensive/impossible to obtain. eddyramrod and Junkman 2
Junkman Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Force Ale lists (due to popular* demand) are now available. However, the forum doesn't allow me to attach excel sheets. So whoever is interested, must PM me his email addy. I have one list for plastic kits and one for 1:18 scale diecasts.
Split_Pin Posted November 1, 2016 Author Posted November 1, 2016 On facebookAn honest chap but a bit crazy to deal with when trades are concerned.
