RobT
Just noticed the BX behind the SM too! Now I'm trained in the ways of Autoshite I won't miss that next time!Last time I was down that road in Southwark I saw a DS parked behind the SM, same bloke no doubt. B reg - seems quite early for one of these8. Polish import9. Nutters driving around in this in Fulham10. Saab. Still a few being driven round by old money types.11. Brixton.12. Same. timolloyd
Interesting thing with London chod is that: lots of giffers still live in London cos they're the only ones who can afford to (hence their old cars). Plus, you don't need anything fast, so may as well go classic. Finally, ££.
EssDeeWon
The owner of the black SD1 is a frequent member on the SD1 forum, his owned it a very long time! Those are not US lights but some after market conversion, not my cuppa tea but there is certainly nothing US spec about the car (VDP EFi) its been spotted a few times, he lives just south of the river. LOVE that white MK4 Cortina, flipping class spot that !
AnthonyG
White Cortina is brilliant. I also love the yellow W123 Merc, presumably the same as the one you snapped a couple of years back, although the MoT tester has had a word about the front plate since then.... Also love the black Mk1 Jaguar from a few posts ago, a very rare beast, iirc less than 50 roadworthy ones in the U.K.

Adrian_pt
A few more from the last 12 months: 1. South Ken, Herald2. Crumbling manor house in Herefordshire full of tat, largely 90s Mercs but also this3. The famous Fulham Volvo which now sadly has gone4. Very early Granada in Belgravia5. Niceish Cortina6. Really nice Saab 900 on a Chiswick street full of great cars7. Same street8. Fulham Mini with a marvellously crinkly grille9. I have a feeling this Rover P5 was giffer owned10. Tasteful Belgian Merc complete with parking ticket. mercrocker and RobT
Adrian_pt
And a few more... 1. Nice old Bristol2. Ratty 6-series3. Jag must have been in this Blackheath garden for years4, 5. This Hillman is occasionally chugging around Chelsea.6, 7. Immaculate Mini in the West End.8. Astravan behind Buck House9. Where did these all go? Fulham Broadway.10. Another piece of street furniture that seems to have gone overnight. mercrocker, Steviemillar, Jim Bergerac and 1 other
barrett
That Mk2 Cortina is right near my office. Well done for spotting and taking a pic, I've been meaning to for ages

Adrian_pt
Only just got round to sorting out my phone pictures, to find that there is some proper gold on there. Update one of many, including a Gamma that got me overly excited. RobT, Angrydicky, davocano and 6 others

bramz7
Iso Lele? That K car limo has been knocking around London for ages now, but last time I saw it was in Muswell Hill. The 126 used to have a Cavalier SRI 130 for company. RobT
Adrian_pt
Yes - I think the owner used to be a racing driver. I briefly lived a few doors down from it. Sadly EN888 has both tax and MoT expired... A few more - including a brief interlude in rural France. The Mk1 Twingo was the hire car! The white Cortina remains one of my favourite London cars - straight out of 1992. Subaru was the only remotely interesting seen in Israel. The guys with Rovers is in Birkenhead - clearly a man of taste and discernment. RobT, davocano, Shite Ron and 5 others
Skizzer
Jesus Rollerskating Christ, an Iso Lele. And a Chrysler K car custom-stretched to be the size of... a regular Chrysler sedan. And I haven’t seen a Gamma in the wild since — well, since we loaded mine on to a Green Flag tail lift in Regent’s Park, but that’s cheating. And... and... Top drawer spotting indeed. Split_Pin
How on earth does that Cortina have a clean pass rate since the mid 00s? The back is clearly sagging from one of the pictures and on another you can see the rear door shut has closed up. Great shots!

RobT
The Pimlico Thema. I've seen it a few times when up there for work. Makes an otherwise dull day interesting. HMC

bramz7
That Cortina has had the same owner since 1981. Amazing how it is now MOT exempt, not that it does much mileage year on year. It's the only car I have seen where the pinstripe down the side fades in and out due to filler and paint being slapped over it. Also, the owner has swapped the front and rear wheels around since 2012.

Adrian_pt
The Cortina owner is clearly a hero of our time - I imagine a sort of Mr Trebus character... A few more London sights. The blue Mini is absolutely hanging and I think lives in Chelsea driven by an old girl. Plus another French trip and a Savile tastic Y-reg. Dick Longbridge
Without saying too much, I've got a feeling one of those places is the home of a member on here who owns an eclectic mix of chod. Great spots - that Mini is a gem!
bramz7
The weird thing about the Cortina is that there isn't a house nearby which looks like the owners. You know, rotten window frames and a time bleached front door? Everything is tidy. I do like that manky LT. I've got a real affinity for older vans in use and that is superb. Adrian_pt
There is one very giffertastic house near it - net curtains, flowerpots everywhere, a little picket fence and a 70s front door. But it's immaculate! Very strange.
