CC's are fantastic and worth the premium price, I've had them on a few cars now in the worst of weather and they are amazing things, multiple test winners for lots of very good reasons. During the OMGSNOKAOS a few weeks back, I drove up the M1 and back again, and all around Leeds centre and did not lose traction whilst driving sensibly. Even when driving not sensible (trying to overtake bimblers via a snow covered lane 4) at no point did I lose control, swerve into the Armco or kill any nuns, kittens or children. Just pegged it up to Rotherham and back in the pissing rain on the M1 (stair-rod type rain). Completely assured through deep puddles in lanes 1 and 4. stephen01 and Dan302 1
stephen01
Very tempted to fit these to the CRV the £450 is putting me off a little* and I know as soon as I drop that much money on tyres someone will ram into me 🤣

Fumbler
Fucking finally it's actually snowing here! About time too. It's set to do this today and tomorrow, but hopefully it'll be gone before next week as I really don't want to contend with this stuff getting to work and back. I'm in East Sussex and have to visit my mother in Kent most days (60 mile round trip) so I was a bit concerned that it would be difficult. Luckily when we left at about 2.30 the snow had already gone by the time we got to Hastings. Coming back some of the roads were a bit slippery, but mostly just (very) wet. However back at home it was snowing again and still is. Fumbler

bunglebus
Not a lot of snow here in Essex, or on my journey to Surrey and back (in a lorry), but it took me 20 mins to get the bloody stuff off my car after it froze solid. also seen the aftermath of three crashes which appeared to be due to losing control on the motorway, despite there being very little snow on the tarmac. I like looking at snow but it can do one when I'm trying to load and unload tons of shop fittings outside. Brr

Saabnut
Yesterday I had to take a trailer of pigs to market, in Dumfries, about 200 miles away. I was towing with a Land Cruiser van, very competant. To get from the farm to the road we had to tow the trailer out with a 4wd tractor. Hitched up at the road, diff lock in and away we went. 10 miles in and the roads were wet, by Perth they were dry. Saw no snow until about 5 miles from home on the return journey, but just a sprinkling. This morning we have over a foot down, a bit of drifting and still snowing heavily. Not even battling my way to the shed today. Supernaut, Coprolalia, sdkrc and 7 others
Crispian_J_Hotson
We've had a pissy bit of sno here in Cambridge, and it's been snowing for hours. It's just making a mess of the oxygen. We've got the max of a patchy inch on the cars. However, I have discovered the only* design issue with the s type. Once it has a layer of sno over it and I open the boot lid, the sno on the back window avalanches into the boot. It's too much to try and stop the slide, you just have to let it run whilst shouting 'OMGSNOKAOS' and then get your scoopers in there afterwards. 95 quid Peugeot
I went back to work yesterday afternoon from Stowmarket, wasn't hugely worried as there was about 4 inches settled, fuck me I've never seen so many retards out and about, from mine to the A14 thru town is about 4 miles, in that distance i saw bearing in mind Suffolk is a flat as a witches tit, 3 rear wheel drive cars unable to get up a incline of 0.0005deg, and 4 others twatted into things. The old merc with it's sensible winter tyres plodded along, 30 miles down the road, nothing. Mind you most prob a good time to leave, doubt even the Michelin Alpins would of made it through this morns bit Mrs 95 off in Volvo to do horse this morn, On the way back, how to you get a 4x4 pick up stuck ???, Coprolalia, timolloyd and worldofceri

bunglebus
Out shopping in the Lupo (after heating the key blade up with a fag lighter to gain access). Still falling steadily but the main roads are fine. B&M car park was empty and an excellent place to check the handbrake is still working. chodweaver, Talbot and Amishtat 1
chodweaver
Winter of 1986 brought a marvellous snowfall to Coventry. So, the obvious thing to do at 9pm was to head for the car park of the new Asda at Walsgrave. This had some fixed obstacles (lampposts) and some moveable ones (trolleys). Much fun was had in my first car, a 1750 maxi (not a diesel) with a mate who had learned to drift* in his Dad's Ovlov 240glt.*(Not that it was called that, back then)Every time it snows, I hope to have as much fun again. My rite of passage involved a Ford puma, month old license and a closed cinema car park in much the same way. It was fun then, I do enjoy not having to drive in it now though... TrabbieRonnie
These are pics taken from videos last weekend, did go out and about the trails yesterday... But there was more snow and too much fun being had! The boys and I had a great laugh getting'stuck', selecting low-range and just driving out! A simple soul... ...in his happy place. Speyside is looking lovely just now, this is the back road from Knockando to Grantown... I will buy this house one day, it's lovely... needs more shite in the yard though! GrumpiusMaximus
Currently stuck. Can’t get up a hill and it’s a no-through. I have a damned good reason for my journey too, so it’s not like I was fucking about...
Aston Martin
I've been waiting to finish work, I drove the lorry unit-only and it's traction control is on constantly, it's arse end kicked out on a roundabout. Not on purpose. I cannot wait to boot the Panda 4x4 with Chinese winter tyres about. I've never had a more boring journey home, everybody is doing 6 mph. I boot it around the local unsalted streets and nothing. The stupid thing just got me home safely, like the road was hot and dry. 👎
