vulgalour
When you said it was spotted *in* the harbour, was that before it drove out and you took this picture?

Largactil
Been slightly lazy of late - There's at least five cars locally I've been meaning to snap (two of which are hearing aid beige), but haven't had the opportunity. (Stellar / FE 626 / Mk2 Escrote Estate / Ami / Gold W123 Estate) In the interim, have a few campers... "We're all going on a shiter's holiday" (Ex BT?) Also got a better shot of the Montrose... Doors are a bit frilly, otherwise seems surprisingly solid...? Finally - Apologies for the rather poor camera phone pic - I did actually go back the following day to catch it in daylight, but it was gone and hasn't returned over the past month... CYANIDE STEVE
I love the old camper van pics! The camper the better..
brammy777
That Montrose is surprisingly solid when in full view, and the tyres aren't flat?! Thats a bit surprising really. The Belmont is also a good spot, they have thinned out really quickly recently. MK2 Escort wouldn't happen to be blue would it? I remember going to Queens Park and seeing it from a distance, driving off.
Largactil
That Montrose is surprisingly solid when in full view, and the tyres aren't flat?! Thats a bit surprising really. The Belmont is also a good spot, they have thinned out really quickly recently. MK2 Escort wouldn't happen to be blue would it? I remember going to Queens Park and seeing it from a distance, driving off. The Montrose does indeed seem surprisingly solid - Not sure what its story is... I thought the house to which that drive is attached was uninhabited (t'is rather dilapidated), but a Hyundai i10 also comes and goes from time to time...? Belmont's seem to have almost died out completely - I learnt to drive in my parents ropey 1986 Belmont 1600GL (D201 ESF - Fell off the DVLA radar in Jan 2001) The Mk2 Escort is a beige 2 door estate - Lives outside what I think might be a sheltered housing block... Giffer spec, and looks to be non-scene, which is nice...
Split_Pin
I like the Montrose. Wasn't their name something to do with a Scottish Dealer, being called 626 elsewhere? Might just be my dreams/reality interface playing up again of course. There is a very similar Transits mouldering in a drive near me with a big 'NOT FOR SALE' sign in the windscreen lol. Largactil
One spot doth not really make a worthy update, but I honestly thought this Crown had disappeared, as I hadn't spotted it for 8-9 months... It was silver back then, and has been re-born in shiny turquoise (Same reg _ I guess it's been restored?) The chap who owns it runs the local corner shop - He has a RR Silver Spur too, which I thought had replaced the Toyota...Nice to see it back. Largactil
Not particularly old...But French, and was last taxed 2 years ago... (Phone pic - But nature is reclaiming this, with plants growing through the alloys & moss all over the back hatch). Hmmm....? Junkman

Largactil
Been a while (and I live in Ireland rather than London these days), but some more spots from a recent road trip with Mrs Largactil to Lake Como... First off, a picture of a picture - This adorns the wall on the Geordie Express (DFDS ferry) from Newcastle to Ijmuiden. Next up, some chod parked in the streets of Stuttgart - Stuttgart seemed to have quite a selection, but these were the only ones I managed to snap. Then it was over to Merano in Italy And finally to Lake Como, and Como itself... (It was for sale, but I never spotted a price...) Alan_Green
Do you remember or does anyone know what street (roughly) this 626-Montrose is in and if it is still there? i would like to have a look/buy for parts as I drive around London-ish in this: I will start a proper thread on it a bit later. Largactil
Nice Montrose It was still there 3 months ago, according to google maps... It's in the Queens Park / Kilburn area - I can PM you the address, if you promise not to HIAB it away in the middle of the night?
Alan_Green
Yes please. I can maybe pop a note through the door. I promise not to steal it/bits of it.
Largactil
PM'd you. Interesting to see that the 626 / Stellar are still nearby too - Although on flat tyres now... Semi-C, Alan_Green and Junkman
Largactil
Nearly forgot about this air cooled German thing I spotted on our road trip; you can see how surprised I am by the shonky panel gaps and tatty paintwork...
Junkman
That is actually an Austrian air cooled thing. It was a 'customer' car built by Porsche Salzburg, hence the red and white paint job.It won the 1970 Le Mans, which must be the only time ever the event was won by an Austrian team.
