  1. To be fair a ditch will fill up with 'nature' fairly quickly, especially if seeded with appropriate things. Not sure I'd want it 6' from my front door though.
  2. Is it really that hard to write an app to sell takeaway food? The hard part is herding the food outlets and bikers into signing their life away.
  3. Bolted onto a Shorrocks blower by the look of it?
  4. Fly out with plates from a legit series and a hammer; correct headlamp alignment, attach plates, drive home for tea and medals. WCPGW? In reality it's over priced and over there.
  5. Will Datsuncog procrastinate past his deadline? Will it make an amusing "wooosh!" noise as it goes by?
  6. That's a really offensive colour; wood. Shall have to see if I have room for it.
  7. The launch date was spring 1983, so all launch Maestros would be Y Reg, Why and a look at the Doovla mot checker shows it was registered in March 1983. I suppose it might have been pre-production or early production so a little more notable than the average Maestro, but it just looks like an otherwise ordinary Maestro with a load of tat plastered on it. The only way to confirm/deny would be to get the chassis number and consult the keeper of the runes at Gaydon, assuming the records haven't been skipped.
  8. Either the old duffer worked at Swansea or bribed someone who did; it's not any kind of Cooper, not even Tommy Cooper.
  9. On a scale of 1-10 how explodey is the Northstar?
  10. Be like HMC, only more anglo-australian.
  11. Any means of adjusting the bonnet? It looks like you've just been rootling under there in every picture.
  12. Boredom on a Sunday afternoon and there are no outstanding landrover defects to work on. I've probably fucked it now typing that. 🤣
  13. Amsterdam is looking likely; this pic has what appears to be the same big building in the background. From here This ferry has similar derricks. Also these.
  14. G for Groningen in the other pic? Any chance of the licence numbers being helpful for research? The vehicles do look typical for taxis.
  15. @LightBulbFun is there a geographical origin for single letter plates like there is for two letters and three letters?
  16. This appears to be an old style linkspan, so they're presumably waiting for a ferry; any idea where it is? Similar derricks are still on the quayside at Stobcross and opposite at Mavisbank in Glasgow. There were others but the wreckers ball has swept them away.
  17. What kind of jizztrumpet imports a car missing a bonnet? A relatively easy thing to find in the US maybe, unicorn wisdom teeth here and unpossible shipping separately.
  18. IIRC the Conquest was originally marketed at £1066. Which is nice, if somewhat ahistoric given it was the normans conquesting southern britain. Naughty normans, giving us bad habits.
  19. Judging by the way it appears to have been hammered into place and bending the trim, probably the latter.
  20. Nissan Patrol, described as an Ebro so presumably a spanish licence build?
