  1. Thanks to @Six-cylinder offering and @Mrs6C's efficient postal services I have added some m6 plastic washers to the new 2cv rose-jointed gearshift link. A quick test run up the drive past the lambs gamboling and there was no rattly buzzing, so a success i think. Pics for before and after.
  2. I occasionally see one on my commute to work. It’s Gordon Murray in his daily driver. If it’s good enough for him….
  3. Ahghhh, it’s the purple probe!
  4. Their terms and conditions are interesting/ weird
  5. I’ve just ordered an air tag, will see how it works - was thinking of getting them for the bicycles anyway.
  6. Not a subscription to the tracker, but the website seems to be a recurring membership.
  7. Too good to be true? I’m tempted for £20. I haven’t seen whether they’re rechargeable? actually is it a subscription service to the website?
  8. Maybe. I’m in France so can’t see the work diary yet. 2cv isn’t up to motorway speeds though until the exhaust manifold is fixed.
  9. Leffe on draught. The room fridge also does a nice line in local craft beers. Which I have sampled.

  11. Car spotting today whilst cycling en France. In 110km ... A c15d "first" edition, beige bx with spoiler, two blobby c5s . Not older citroen though. Most common abandonned garden spot seemed to be vw golfs. Saxos popular with boy racers still who seem to think removing the exhaust will make it better. Modern cars wise, dacia and Peugeot winning the small and large sectors. Now in the hotel bar
  12. Well it’s a talking point . Will you need to keep your leg shaved to see it ?
  13. Off that way tomorrow, will keep an eye out.
  14. No more information, looks like it was hidden nearby to check for a tracker.
  15. No more information yet. A 2cv is not hard to break into though, a fingernail can open the door locks.
  16. Just donated. Didn’t realise we were running dangerously low.
  17. Sorry to hear this, have you made contact with RNIB? My grandmother had some help from them - she had wet macular degeneration and we think couldn’t see anything towards her end of life - she tried to hide it though.
  18. I blame “the apprentice “. This looks like something some of those idiots would come up with. What I’ve read of the people employed ( won’t get paid though) seems that they come out well trying to comfort the crying children.
  19. I’m replacing them annually now as the modern rubber seems to perish in less than 1000miles. There’s definitely a case of don’t complicate a simple design, but they used to last tens of thousands of miles. the rose joint is cheaper and should last for ever - they have tiny grease nipples. https://ecas2cvparts.co.uk/products/repair-linkage-kit-for-joint-between-gearbox-lever-and-dashboard-gear-lever-2cv-etc-900165?_pos=5&_sid=a58014f61&_ss=r
  20. I am sure I have some washers somewhere...
  21. i think 500 is probably 496 too many! But if you have any, then m6 please.
