I don’t need any more comments on this thank you very much -
Guildford roads general look like they’ve just been strafed by the Luftwaffe.

My first CX was that Neptune grey.

I can’t do May dates - my mum and nieces are preparing a 2cv shaped birthday cake for me with far too many candles for comfort. -
We saw a few nice things en-route. I particularly liked the well worn Austin heavy 10? ( gumdrop) with the “ Arouga”swan necked bulb horn. A few MGs, a silver birch DB5, Capri, some American cars, the roof chopped CX surf thing. Lots of people in normal cars waved too.

Lovely scenic drive from Henley this morning, a good turnout from the Surrey madhatters, Pompey puddleducks, Thames Tortoises and Berkshire royals.

I think Citroens in the 1980s and 90s came with a cassette to play. But whether this was music or info I do not know,

That takes me back. I have ( had?) the Jeep and trailer snd a helicopter I am sure. Where they are now is probably the depths of my parents loft.

Most of new car ownership seems to involve fixing previous errors and bodges.

I walked past a place this morning that immediately made me think of the FOD. HEadley, heading under the m25. A silver spirit with a shadow on a trailer behind, plus a red jag xjs and blue mini with union flag on the roof. -

Of all the people I know you’re the least likely to need to borrow an appropriate car for any meetings. -
What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

Good luck. -
What’s the date code? Had to change the 2cv tyres last year because the tread was parting from the side walls, same is happening to the x1/9 as well now.

Been round the m25 to leatherhead ish and back this morning to go for a walk. If anyone is in the vicinity of Epsom downs the Langley vale project is worth a trip. Only recently planted, but in thirty years I am sure it will look completely different. Sculpture and memorial to the servicemen of the First World War. https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/media/49109/langley-vale-wood-remembrance-trail-2020.pdf

Is that cheap for a nine year old car now? I paid that for a three year old c5 with 30,000 miles.

My rich ( very) newish neighbour got his ac cobra finally running today. It turned up before Christmas and never moved. Then a couple of weeks ago did move and had a uk rather than South African plate and then last weekend the roof was removed and it had a tonneau cover. He’s been trying to start it since Friday but today it did ( I think it was the immobiliser ). Then went off to smiths lawn to play polo. i haven’t seem them this year yet, according to another neighbour they’ve been at their chalet in verbier since Christmas. Life must be like living in a James Bond film for some people! The only reason I can think that they rent this apartment is the location for schools and secure parking.

It’s a silver royal jubilee edition, Anthony was asking about it. I did have a stack headlamp green/white polizei Mercedes but not sure where it went. Again is £5 ok posted? I don’t think it can go large letter because of the beacon on the roof.

When we do check it’s signed for by “CV19”

I have heard back from the original interested party in the cortina and silver taxi. He’s stepped back, so these two are available still @NorfolkNWeighand @AnthonyG.
