Consider it done. I have inextricably linked your fortunes with those of The Moog.
Now with colour coding for different amounts! /nerd

Don't need/want the car, but I'll have four randoms for the trailer please.

I don't mind managing the list. I'll do it in a google sheet, that way I'll have all the revisions in case I cock something up.
This is how I think it stands at the moment. Click on it to embiggen.
taxi paul, I've transferred my original number (26) to you as your random. Hope you win.
3VOM and For Fiats Sake, I didn't want to take your expressions of interest as commitment, so please post if you want to get involved

As this is a good cause, and to encourage you lot into bad behaviour, I'll chuck in an Autoshite dealer sticker for anyone whose number comes in the draw that doesn't win.

Count me in for a roffle ticket. (with or without trailer, and £8.50 is fine by me)

I think a lot of people, myself included, would want the same ourselves.

I'm trying hard to make this work. Insurance is the only stumbling block as I have zero no claims.
This is the cheapest quote so far, which is a lot of money obvs but isn't horrific compared to the £1280 I was quoted last month for an early 2000s Suzuki Ignis which was worth about the same as a half eaten packet of Chewits.
I'll continue shopping around and if I can get it around £800/900 then I'll be PMing cash in your face forthwith.

Well, this is turning into an incre-he-hedibly dull thread at the moment, but posting updates here gives me a bit of mojo, so please excuse another headlamp polishing update.
Annoyingly when I went back this morning to look at the one I'd done, it didn't look that great. I could still see patches of oxidisation on the outside, and the top half of the lens - where I hadn't really sanded at all - had a nasty yellowish cast to it compared to the bottom half.
I decided I needed to be more aggressive. I sanded the whole thing back with 180 paper on a block.
Then 1200 with my bare hands.
Then a go with the machine polisher - Autosol (which I figured is basically cutting paste) on a sponge, then (er) Tesco furniture polish with the bonnet thing. Mmm, lavender.
Having finished it there are still some bits that haven't come up that well.
Overall though, the difference with the one that I haven't done yet is obvious. Now I just need a break in the rain so I can do the other one.

djoptix got a reaction from egg in For sale - MAZDA RX8 excellent condition 12 months MOT £300
I guess this probably isn't the Autoshite way, but with a £1000 engine rebuild that would be good value.

Hey, Mr Imp, if you put a bit of black insulation tape on the ‘5’ on the number plate, it would look like a ‘6’.
Just saying, like.

This is absolutely everything Mrs Imp needs in a car and also ticks my boxes of having a engine large enough to propel it along properly instead of the asthmatic wheeze family cars suffer from these days (although a lot of that can be the gearing I guess). Sadly Mrs Imp wont go with my idea of selling her 09 plate car for something older, its got to be newer which means we will probably end up with a car that weighs more than the moon with a stupid 0.9l TURBOcharged engine that drinks oil and will lunch itself several times between service intervals once its done more than 20k.

djoptix got a reaction from somewhatfoolish in The ultimate Shite Roffle! Renault 30 TS V6 Automatic - 1978 = MOT exempt next year don't you know
Hmm, this is a Renault V6 auto. And my Espace is a V6 auto. Therefore the 250bhp drivetrain should drop straight in, yes?
And the doovla would never know, therefore I'd still get the MOT exemption. Boom!
