  1. I bought it knowing a service was due so did the oil and filter. Nice and easy from the top. I do appear to have a stuck thermostat though and it doesn't look the most fun to change, but it'll give me the opportunity for some fresh coolant at least I suppose. So far I really like it, and have very little to complain about.
  2. Some fresh stock at One Below meant I couldn't resist these three.

  4. Just had a bloke try to aggressively buy the Probe whilst not even knowing what it is (It's a Taurus innit mate). And then tell me he also wants to buy my neighbours Jeeps (Freelanders). fuck off.
  5. It's bowls season and i live by the park so the road is littered with the inconsiderate parking attempts of people who really ought to have given up driving by now.
  6. I love an MX5 and in green on those wheels it looks fantastic!
  7. I used to have a decent number of 1:18s (mostly Bburago) as a lad, but nowadays I wouldn't spend that sort of money or want anything that took up that much space. Think my first was a red Viper RT10. I've loved 3 spoke wheels ever since.
  8. Couple more additions since I clearly have some catching up to do. At the moment they all live on my desk. Must try harder.
  9. Yeh, it's the ones pictured I'm after. I think I'll feel a bit bad for the horrible offspring it'll produce, but I guess it can go to the charity shop. Is a wheel change easily done? I suppose Youtube will hold the answer.
  10. I need to do some. Progress is painfully slow, but it needs to be back on the road this summer or else it'll have to find a new home.
  11. There's definitely an element of memories of youth, although i was more into my 1:18s then and would happily save every scrap of money I could get my hands on to fund another. In a world where it seems like any of the interesting cars I want to own are now stupidly expensive it's nice to have a little collection on my desk. The engineer in me also loves inspecting all the little manufacturing and design details and wondering how it is possible to design, manufacture, ship and sell them at a profit for the same price as a bag of chocolate buttons.
  12. I'm fully addicted at this point, I just can't get over how great they are for so little money. Now I want another MGB for the l wheels to replace the shite ones this comes with.
  13. That all sounds rather positive. Mine will therefore explode next week! It ain't quick, but coming out of a 1.3 CDTI Astra estate it's definitely a step up. I'm really liking all the storage available, it seems very well thought out. Not got to grips with the stereo yet though, the touch screen seems more hassle than it's worth.
  14. Definitely! £30/year which is nice and the boot is great. I was looking for an estate, but it seems you have to pay a decent premium for one at the moment.
  15. Well spotted. This must have been a very similar time oddly enough!
  16. It's the 1.6 TDI which gets mixed reviews, but based on my trip back it's surprisingly punchy and much smoother at idle than the PD in my mk5 Golf. It's not an interesting car by any means, but right now I need something spacious, comfortable and cheap to run. The air-con is cold, the cruise control works and it's got an armrest.
  17. Transport 2 not pictured but it was a train of some description. Transport 3 Verdict is very positive. Quiet and smooth which makes a nice change and with that brand new tube smell.
  18. I've been guilty of starting several threads for different cars that then get forgotten so I have decided to combine all my vehicular activities into one. Starting with a collection that promises to be more interesting than the collected itself. Breakfast Transport 1
  19. Great site, thanks for building it. To get BMW models to come up in the search it seems to require "5 series" etc. in the title rather than the more common 530i or whatever.
  20. I'm liking these ones in the little boxes.

  22. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304494732353 Ultra rare Focus Neck Strain Edition.
  23. Used to collect loads of models as a lad and thought I'd kicked the habit, but this thread is a bad influence.
