  1. Found myself at a loose end and managed to convince myself to part with £7.20 for this with a fancy box that'll go straight into the recycling. also picked up a more palatable priced CR-X to bring the average down.
  2. Decided to buy a Vito instead? 😉 Van looks tidy, someone's definitely spent some money on it.
  3. Has it done many miles? Black smoke on a modern diesel does suggest maybe someone's deleted the DPF and had error codes "mapped out" On my Insignia, the Eco button is definitely just for the start/stop.
  4. Having had 3 diesel dailies find their way to the scrap man with modern diesel issues, I've decided to go back to petrol and have an Insignia 2.0 turbo which is £320 to tax and does about 35 on average, time will tell if that's a good decision, but 6 months and 6k miles in it's working well so far. I would happily go diesel if there were better cars at throw away money, but for something that's been looked after wit decent life in it now then you're spending the sort of money where a big bill has to be swallowed.
  5. Darwin Insurance doesn't allow you to cancel auto-renewal online so I had to go through all the bollocks of the automated phone system to finally get through to a person. "Can I ask why you don't want to renew?" "It's 71% higher than last year despite an additional years NCB and no accidents" "Have any of the details changed?" "No" "Well I can't change the price then."
  6. Great Beetle and Jag combo and the puppy is very cute. Reminds me of my ownBeetle/Jag pairing from back in the day (I also had a Mexi that is out of shot)
  7. From the moment I bought my 6 series, there has been one change I wanted to make and I finally managed to get hold of some sports seats in the correct Chateau red for a decent price. Before After
  8. Rear-engined and turbocharged with a 5-speed dogleg 'box. Sadly the wheel is just because I needed something smaller and it's one of my favourites.
  9. £10 of finest eBay digital dash conversion. Not sure the T25 will be troubling that first digit.
  10. I love these, but they are very thin on the ground now. I decided against buying a GT estate for a tenth of the money this one is up for. I regret that. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186078591845
  11. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235201058395 Looks like Val is hoping for a quick flip alongside her car boot finds.
  12. I was imagining a scammer with a little sign in his backpack trying to quickly snap a photo before he gets caught, but sadly it;s just photoshop.
  13. I'm still hopeful that I'll find either of the Majorette T25s, but no luck today. This Silverado is nice though
  14. Nipped in to B&M to find a mostly raided Fast and Furious selection, but picked up this Charger. Shame there was no 240Z, but otherwise I don't think I'm missing much. Wheels are crap, 14s on the front and 20s in the rear, both with rubber band tyres
  15. Apparently for sale due to ULEZ, guess the real life obfuscation tactics didn't work too well. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/355019509302
  16. Decided to swap the oil filler gasket on the van since it was leaking. The new one leaked even more so I nipped it up a bit, no change, nipped it up a bit more and stripped the thread and now the 300 mile oold oil is in a drain pan. Ideal. Still, a least it's looking good.
  17. Nowt exciting, but nice to find something I wanted in a picked through selection at Aldi. Pretty nice detailing, but I could do without the winking headlights
  18. Just had my renewal through for the Insignia. Another year of no claims and now over 5 years since my non-fault accident. £438 last year and they want £751 this year. Ouch.
  19. Clean pass on the Insignia. Took a bit of faffing to get rid of an engine light, but thankfully not much spend
  20. Spent the last of my nectar points on most of a Majorette 917 and a fancy boy Hot Wheels Countach. Was a tough call between that and the Alfa 155 DTM, but a Countach without a spoiler is just too alluring.
  21. Nice to see something different. Looks to be all moderns and the colours aren't the best, but I'll definitely pick up the GTR if I see one
  22. A trio from Halfords to break up the misery of pissing about with real cars.
  23. The Sierra is one of the few models I'd pay the Premium premium for, it looks like great whereas the mainline ones don't really do it for me. Very much doubt I'll ever find one though.
  24. Popped to Asda hoping to find one of the Majorette T25s in either high top or towing caravan form, but no such luck. I was tempted by the Fast and Furious Maxima and E46, but at £18 for the pair I left them for now. Did get this though
  25. After being underwhelmed by the price to quality ratio of of the premium offerings in Smyth's, I have stepped onto the slippery slope of buying die cast on eBay. It's very lovely.
