    Yonks ago, visiting friends' smollholding on an Alp, clearing attic as roof need holes fixed, found a load of paintings from when he was a youth and thought he was "undiscovered major artist", we then burnt the stuff on garden fire - except Brit Git took a few out of frames and exported them TO an campus (where I was working) which had art collection n smoll gallery. Art curator had not finished cataloguing collection (yes serious monies art not on any list). Soooooooooo working late an Technician fitted an oil on canvas (horizontal and vertical stripy thing 1m by 1m) to wonky frame of old fencing wood and installed in Departmental reception on an nicely lit wall. Card on back says "donated" by artist (well artist's cat) as the only remaining work after disastrous fire burnt all others at Studio on an Alp. Last weekend, 6 years later, it's still there.

    Sound like a visit to the Coventry City Council office's car park is required as I am reliably informed there are a number of vehicles parked abandoned there which need reporting. PS. Registration document is not proof of ownership.

    Half a packet of Polos with outer paper removed and rolling round cubby hole under radio fits nicely into the unoccupied fag lighter socket where it's silver paper shorts out the 12 V making intermittent sizzling noises and smoldering plastic with hint of mint smell unable to remove it whilst driving on M3 to job interview as it's also hot as the center of a very hot thing till some tiny inaccessible fuse give up and Polos cool down and become stuck in solidified plactic. Lateness caused by not having anywhere to plug GPS into but I didn't want the job anyway.

    I had LHD turbo one bought in Germany by a friend who blew up the turbo then another turbo then drove it to the UK, parked it by my flat, pushed the keys through my letter box and got on a plane back home. Good for handbrake turns and spinnin wheels in 8 gears in the snow.

    Me - an a load of mini cab/uber drivers park in McD take away car park somewhere in Southern UK as dropping off/picking up at an airport is such an utter pain but the McD is on close to terminal but just out of the ANPR + payment + more payment + no waiting area but a very short walk to/from the terminal. Also their bogs are clean and free and the occasional parker buys an coffee.
