Bloody hell, yes! Fred Gee and Annie Walker's Rover! I think that was about when I last watched Corrie. (don't mention Barry Grant's Jag on the beach in Brookside. Or Stan and Jack's bus in Holiday On The Buses) Sorry for the diversion.

I love these old things, mostly they're either in polished up/trailer queen condition, or look like they're held together by several lengths of tramps trouser belt.

Autoshite is well worth the cost of a couple of pints. I'm happy to have been able to contribute a small (but I hope useful) sum.
3 cheers for Dave and the time and effort he spends on keeping this site alive.

I've managed to get a job as a conductor on the trains. Just need to pass the medical on Monday and I can sack off the current job and will never have to manage staff ever again. Pay rise too.

Right, who mentioned unfortunate business names? No-one? Well I just did...

Bosh a hiab on it and use it for shite-shifting. Up and down the UK's motorway network at 40mph. When you arrive at the destination, unload your cargo by simply tipping it out! JUST-IN-TIME SHITE LOGISTICS

If I had an autoshite fetish, it would be fibreglass cars. There's lots to recommend them in terms of individuality, performance, character and rarity. Unfortunately they're usually half broken and even when mended will be a little bit rubbish.
I'd love to chuck my hard-earned onto any of these
Imp-based Clan Crusader
Metro-based Midas Gold. If this had come up when I last had cash, I'd be looking miserable at a car made entirely from rust free fibreglass except for a Metro subframe. With a rusty Metro subframe
I love a bit of wedge, but at 42 I'm too old for a convertible. This TVR would fit the bill perfectly. If it worked, natch
Let's have an exception to the convertible rule straight away. I was about 17 when TVR launched their S and it was a great looking car. Love the wheels on this early one,
Back to coupés again. This Cerbera has TVRs own V8, designed after their chairman said he wouldn't use the Rover engine after BMW bought them. Britain does fibreglass sports cars and casual racism very well
Lotus made some stunning cars, back in the '70s they had been F1 world champions a few times, they'd shaken off their kit car roots and were producing classy motors. Pop up headlights are awesome, although this car is only half awesome

I bet fifty quid if I asked my missus to name ten 'home comforts' they wouldn't include: rust stained door step/arches, formica cabinets, a second hand portable bog, nor cushions fashioned from Bert and Ernie's jumpers

'minor historic rust'
I've got a minor historic scar right between my bollocks. It dates from the time I bought a Bedford CF with the annual holiday fund and hadn't consulted the domestic manager first.

I know I'm a bit of a mini hater in general but these things take the biscuit. £7500 for this! It looks fucking ridiculous FFS. You'd have to be a major league TWAT to think this was a worthwhile use of that amount of money. Just imagine how you'd feel driving around in this, bouncing up and down while hanging onto the bus driver steering wheel with everyone looking at you, christ it doesn't bear thinking about

DISAGREE.
Number plate desirable as translates to SUP, which is exactly what someone will be doing out of it when the pile of toss is crushed into fizzy drink cans.
