  1. Those tibbe keys were fucking terrible but then Sierras were a doddle to pinch anyway, no double locking etc so the thief would just bust the back window, reach in, unlock it, give the steering lock a hard tug and bust the steering column shroud off.
  2. I have the garage and the tipper hopper thing.
  3. From memory without going in the loft I’ve an incomplete 500 Series, a German branded motorcity set with a bridge, an Emergency Centre, Construction Site, Airport and a container port.
  4. £5 each 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve thrown better stuff away. I mean once they’ve paid the stall fees which I can’t imagine being insignificant, drove there and priced their time, packed it away etc etc, they must be at a loss as at those prices nobody is going to buy them?
  5. I had this... they also did one with a mould for you to cast an ice screen for the car to blast through which seemed unbelievably cool at the time.
  6. That’s right the 24v was basically a GLX V6, even alloys were an option.
  7. @Split_Pin must love me as he sent me one! It’s ace, had it out a few times to test it. I had in circa 1994 the Rapid Shot track which was similar, anyone remember that?
  8. The diesels will be rare as they inevitably covered huge mileages or got minicabbed to death. Haven’t seen an early purple Mk2 in a while, they used to offer them on the base spec in a really insipid purple colour on the facelift for a few years. Hated that colour!
  9. My kids have that one, wife picked it up on Facebook Marketplace for a fiver a few years back. Wasn’t the track rebranded from something else?
  10. I had a few Britain’s toys that I kept in the window as a kid and they basically disintegrated after several years as the plastic faded and became brittle.
  11. Anyone recommend a good aerosol paint stripper?
  12. Dropped in Poundland today, to my surprise they had loads of new Matchbox in at £2 a pop, the Green GTI and a Bronco purchased.
  13. I really rate CT60, unfortunately this necessitates dealing with ECP.
  14. The whole point of charity (I thought) was not ripping people off. You go in a lot of charity shops now and that’s exactly what they do.
  15. That used to make me laugh. I had images of ‘You are going to need to go outside while we apply the Forte, it’s a trade formula so you can’t see it otherwise the magic will go away!’ Good stuff though nonetheless.
  16. Very possibly been raced, the values are still low enough for them to be used for Mondeo Meets.
  17. Are the red ones the Colani Cars? Some odd fad by Matchbox
  18. My eldest had that LM002, the red one. Sticks in my mind because she took it when she’d be a about 4-5 to Lanzerote, remember her playing with it in the volcanic gravel stuff at the hotel.
  19. Funnily enough I noticed the daffs in our garden this morning, a few crocuses coming through at the allotment as well. Going off topic... 😂
  20. It’s quite a well known fact that Triumph worked with Harry Ferguson to develop a range of farm implements for the TR range, if you’d had a day at a classic car show you could simply pull over into a field and start threshing hay or irrigating the crops via the PTO take off.
  21. Pick a price, any price 15p, £15, £15,000... 🤣
  22. It was if the water pump hadn’t seized! 🤣
  23. My dad had one in the same colour but the later 1.4 unit. I think they also had the distinction of being the most stolen car in the 1990’s?
  24. I think you are right, I read an article a while back on them suggesting they were considerably more expensive than the standard Superkings, hence why lots of ex shop stock seems to be around that sat perhaps in seaside Toy Shops well into the 80’s without finding a buyer. It’s rare as well to find complete sets that’s to say with all the tracks/bits, as far as I know the one to have is the Ford Tractor Factory, the closest I’ve seen to one was as a kid another lad on our street had the factory bit left. Didn’t know at the time what it related to!
