  1. Bloody hairdresser car. Built in steam styler too 😂 I hope you had your curlers in at the time and the roof down?
  2. Bilberry red wheel cleaner is excellent for when their not too filthy, but when they are I find Bilt Hamber Korrosol to be bloody excellent! All safe and non corrosive! Bloody hate wonder wheels type shit even on the worthless crap I drive 😂
  3. We'll be in Wales too! 🤔 Bring the range rover and a trailer?
  4. Your probably the devil in their eyes for slinging a tent in yours and round tripping it to France just like any other* car! Think of the miles and the wear etc 🙄 You should ONLY get it out when it's attendance on the club stand at <insert random show 800 miles from your house> upon request and wearing the requisite hat and matching picnic set. Then send it in for a full overhaul and detail and park it up until the next event 😡
  5. Problem is that choice could be made today but be void by tomorrow. Ianbmw and talbot need to get the blue carlton going and we make you drive that (with the doors roped shut).
  6. Meh, you'd waste* that on other stuff I'm sure anyway 🤷 Isn't that the minimum bill for anything your vehicle_who_must_not_be_named needs anyway? I vote xantia or bx. If you go the scenic route you'd give the suspension a lovely excercise keeping the speed up down those roads. Could probably park it over the lhm patch* @Sunny Jimleft last year and pretend it's not your lhm patch.
  7. Waft in a Daimler! Just remember (if it's still there) that huge ledge upon entering the campsite.
  8. Ah the time of the year where fb dishes out shitefest memories!
  9. Got 2 friends from work who are both car-less now! Friend 1 got brake tested and failed and is now 2 weeks into an at fault claim after rear ending said car and trying to get his repair started before they'll even consider a curtosey car, then mate 2's missus's Vauxhall ate it's engine in some way over the weekend so she has his car for their kids and her uni now... It's not a huge detour, I lift shared with the 2nd mate anyway on alternate days but yet again my old trusty shit-heap is saving the day once more! Work has been fun trying to sort it out too, friend 1's manager is a bit of a prick and sadly his timings need to match ours now as I've got the school run to consider and a stink was brewing... Some going over of heads later and a word with the sensible director we have and suddenly there is no issue anymore 🙄 Been here a few times, I'm hoping I'm banking up enough favours that when it's my turn to need a lift into work for a while the offer is there! (from mate 2 anyway, tbf to him mate 1 would have to do a 12 mile trip the wrong way twice to get me so he gets a pass) Friend 2 is in a quandary too as the car is on finance, and the terms are that the car is alive at the end of the term in 18 months time... He had planned to just bin the car, buy a cheap runaround (there's some nice things by us for £1k after a look) and just pay the finance off for the remainder of the term and be done with it all, but it seems he can't do that now. I suggested getting it barely running them somehow writing it off in a believable way
  10. How many jugs of that potion had you drank beforehand though?
  11. I know it's probably no consolation but if it was as simple as you ran it out of oil, you plonker, bend over wallet out and get it fixed would that be a good* thing? At least nothing else caused it to fuck up on the engine or Mounting side that would be harder to sort, and dropping a good* box in would sort it without lingering questions Can you retrofit some sort of level sensor that puts a light on the dash or similar? Then wire it up to a flashing beacon directly above your head
  12. Surely with your interest in your garage and some bulk buying of common parts you'd get that service cost down to a reasonable level? Aylesbury is all boring vag crap on 300k+, I don't see any interesting taxis bar the odd London/properly up north plated car running up the m40 at Oxford or similar, probably rubbing their hands with glee as they watches the meter
  13. Ah fair enough then, I'd be away earlier as I'm on me Todd!
  14. Adds 10 mins to my entire trip to go via @catsinthewelder for me... See you on that Friday maybe rich 🤣
  15. On my phone so I've done my best with the list! No parents this year, and although the kids are upset i just can't be fucked to have to put the level of care needed with the lake just behind the site for a shitefest weekend so I'm car camping. Got a nice bit of wood staying dry in the shed to make the back seat area fully flat for the airbed. I might stop off for a break on the way this year though, otherwise @AnthonyGwill piss himself with laughter again as I fall out of the car numb from the waist down 🤣 Infact do we have a convoy anywhere? I'll be doing m40/42/6 then turn left but if there's a service station meet somewhere...
  16. Your welcome on the bulbs! Be interesting to see what you write about them, I'll post it up in the vacuum groups when you do the autopsy! Some have the filament broken but some didn't and I'm sure there's some gen hoover ones in there. Came in a big box of shit from another collector which is always fun! I hope I wiped all the bird shit off the tin...
  17. Another fab weekend as always! Roll on the next one
  18. Are you far away? I've just got back to mums with the kids but could come out and bring sustinence?
  19. A funny* sticker saying 'I identify as silver" on the panels'? Sure that's never been done before...
  20. Down towards London and turn off a bit* before!
  21. Zafira B? Tatds! I had to re wire the back door looms a few times on the ex's old one. Removing the door card from the deadlocked door wasn't fun though...
  22. My 10 and 6yo will be there if they want someone to play with! (assuming their not 23 or something 😂)
  23. Just have it there for 7am and job done!
  24. I've tried direct line for a laugh in the past and why the fuck would anyone bother 😂 was always silly expensive even when my quotes were high anyway due to points/age etc. I paid my insurance off up front for the year this year, first time I've been able to afford that in my life! £280 fully comp for the Xsara. The £32 a month saving* from the old dd got swallowed up near instantly by all the other bills going up 😂😭
  25. Sounds awful but I can't picture the name, and googling it brings up results for some sort of acid! Probably got a pleated paper filter that's never been cleaned. Thanks!
