  1. 0So got it home almost without any issues. Did have a slight arse clenching moment at Reading services where it didn't want to unlock with the key, so it may need a new battery in the key. It also seems to have developed a fuck off leak Seems to be coming from above here https://photos.app.goo.gl/qvy6Fa9G142zRHDU8 I'm thinking coolant temp sensor seal in the hose, hose itself, or radiator. Cannot see any leaks from inside engine bay I'm not upset in anyway as it's a 20year old car and I judiciously used the loud pedal on the way back up to redline so it's probably something I did. I didn't see any wet patches on the ground when I collected it from Keith this morning.
  2. Soz for no collection Fred but I'm feeling like shit, tired and not in the mood. However the smoll update is that... It's goodbye from him And hello to her It's the ex autoshite 330ci convertible. More updates when I get home
  3. UPDATE I iz now famous https://www.instagram.com/p/Co5TbYPKBgv/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=
  4. The problem with vans, particularly small vans is that most are overpriced and/or fucked. Over the last couple of weeks that I have been relentlessly looking to find a decent one under £4k I have concluded the following almost without exception: Van colour: if it's white it's fucked, if it's red then postman twat has smacked it into the kerb many times and it's fucked Over 150k miles: fucked Any Peugeot Expert: fucked Combo/Doblo 1.3 diesel: fucked or will be soon Ford Transit Connect: Rusty and fucked Don't get me wrong, mine is by no means perfect. Clutch is a little higher than I'd like but should be good for another 15-20k but I've budgeted for that.
  5. Very unadventful drive home from Redditch. Van is a 2013 Citroen Berlingo 725LX Airstream. It's an L2 which makes it the long wheelbase and has full height wire bulkhead and 3-seats. It drives perfectly and is very responsive despite only having 89bhp. It's a 1.6 e-hdi which means that it's got stop start. All leccy bits work including the Aircon and even has a factory fit Bluetooth headunit which can stream audio as well as phone calls. Even has full history. Apart front a few minor scratches here and there and the odd scuff, it's really tidy. The reason I'm buying this is that Middleton's, who who i was employed by until the start of January went into administration so everyone got made redundant. A few weeks ago and opportunity came up with their parent company (luckily financially sound) to go self employed and earn even more money. There is no mention of a cambelt being done so before I start at the start of next month it'll be getting a new cambelt kit and water pump, plus new discs and pads and a full service. Happy with the fuel economy so far on the run back from Redditch. I'd be struggling to get 33mpg on the 2021 transit custom I had at Middleton's driving on the motorway
  6. Collecshun achieved Diz shot Updates l8rz
  7. We are now here Waiting for the last train of the day (for me)
  8. I had a 3year old P-reg 1.25lx when I was at uni, and put about 20k on it in 2years. Went really well and decent economy but no frills, so keep fit windows, locks and steering. But still felt luxurious compared with the N-reg Clio 1.9d rl prima I had before that. Replaced the fiesta with a 3year old 306 1.4 vivant special edition with Aircon and 26k on it which I still miss.
  9. Gloucester achieved 2nd train of the day is a little busier

  12. Big thanks to @worldofceri for collecting and delivering the MG to my mates MOT place on monday with less than 24hrs notice.
  13. Had a chance to drive the CR-V properly today and you wouldn't believe it has 182k on it. It drives absolutely spot on with no thuds or clonks anywhere from the suspension or drivetrain. Everything works, even the electric glass split tailgate. Feeling brave, I played sunroof roulette in the rain and came out a winner with it working perfectly. However, I'm having somewhat of a dilemma. I really can't decide which I like more, the X3 or the CR-V. They both exude quality but of different kinds. Thr X3 has the "hewn from rock" type of solidity, with comfy firm seats and decent switchgear which is sensibly placed. The CR-V is the stereotypical 90's Japanese engineered quality, dull as fuck but will go on forever with little more than basic maintenance and nothing will snap off. Yes the CR-V has better fuel economy vs the X3 being temp 4wd but I daily a V8 Buick so obviously that doesn't bother me. I can't keep/don't need both as I still have to collect the MGTF but I'm really having a hard time deciding which. I'm tempted to run a roffle @ £25 a ticket or £1500 cash sale and the winner gets to pick which one they want (don't think that's ever been done before on here) NEED HELP HERE PEOPLE!
  14. Just came across a receipt for a new clutch and dual mass in 2019 (10k ago) for £966 😱
  15. Probably not but if it's the local scrapper I'm thinking of then he's a right bellend twat and I'm glad I got to it before him.
  16. 2.0t is the Saab b207 engine so 175bhp in standard tune or for £99 Karl at noobtube will map it to 225bhp
  17. I get offered all kinds of mad shit in this job from people who are giving up driving. Was offered a 04 plate Vectra 2.0t SRi edition 100 last week with 38k on the clock for little £££
  18. So, this was a completely unexpected purchase. A customer i paid a visit to today wanted a mobility scooter as she was giving up driving as she felt she was no longer safe to drive on the road. I'd been with her for over an hour having a laugh and a chat and getting her sorted. I asked her whether her garage was clear for the scooter to be delivered into and yep it was as her car was parked around the corner. She said she was sad to be getting rid of it and that the scrappers were collecting it tomorrow for free I asked her if it was the silver 4x4 and she said yes. I said she was mad and that I'd have it off her and pay her decent money for it. She was happy and so I'm now an owner of a 2.2 diesel crv sport. Milez iz high fam but she has owned it from a year old and everything and I mean EVERYTHING, has been carried out at Honda main stealers. It was only MOT'D middle of August. Barely a mark on it and all of the miles were done visiting her sister in Glasgow once a week from Bristol! Not sure if I'll be hanging onto it as I've still got the X3 but whatever happens one or other will be up on here for sale within a month.
