I've been seconded from my current trust to assist teaching in university, teaching new Paramedics. Wonderful. Looking forward to it. Was a bit down and out thinking I was getting slightly pigeonholed in my role but this a good chance to build up a route of of here.
Sad thing is that I've to commute to city centre Manchester which I've not planned on the right way to do it.
Still a few beers are in store for the weekend. 🥳

There's some horrendous bodges being talked about here! I can't bring myself to do that sort of thing to any vehicle where there's a risk of the next owner finding out and phoning me up to complain, especially if I haven't done it well enough and it breaks.
I think about the worst lash-up I can recall carrying out is "fixing" the rear lighter socket drawer on the horrible E83 X3 that we had for a year.  This is an unnecessarily over-engineered thing that you push to open (which it is supposed to do in a progressive, damped fashion) and push to close, however on this particular example it was all floppy and shite because something had worn/gone out of kilter/snapped/fell to bits.  As no doubt is the case with any of these cars that have carried kids in the back at some point.

Anyway it was pissing me off and I was coming to the conclusion that I didn't want to own the car any longer so I carried out the practically free repair of temporarily taping it in the closed position, then crudely firing a screw that I had lying around after being taken out of an old Sierra dashboard or something straight through two sides of the frame and into the lighter socket housing, and refitting it back to the console, never to be opened again.
One less obvious fault for potential buyers to spot and take issue with.  Hardly Macgyver-grade but I was quite pleased with myself!
Of course, in order to be quids in from the endeavour, I took the opportunity to remove the lighter socket itself for potential retrofitting into some unspecified vehicle that I might own in the future, which fortunately didn't seem to create any issues with the on board computer sensing that it was no longer fitted and throwing a strop.  Then got rid of the car before the turbo had a chance to shit itself.

I’ve been everywhere on mine mostly 2 up.
Brilliant Italian Chinese bike, how very autoshite…

Best selling bike in Italy seemingly. Looked hard at these before I bought my V Strom but got a good deal on it so I wimped out. 700cc engine in the pipeline I believe and the 500 seems to always get decent reviews.

A car has come up for sale near me that peaks my interest so if anyone fancies the Marea send me a Pm, £750 would be ideal with the alloys and bits! I should make a thread on the for sale group but who knows how long the car I'm intrested in will stick around.

    Arrived (was cheap) with trailer.

Fella said, hang on for 10 minutes, I’ve got to fetch it from my mates. No worries says I, knock yourself out.

20 minutes later a vision in blue appeared.

Blue smoke that is. The thing literally had no radiator. None, wasn’t there. Fucking missing. He’d drove it 4 miles from his mates like that.

I called him a dick and left him with it.

    He opened an eBay case.

    He didn’t win.

Yeah I've had a couple of PM's about that so cheers chaps, much appreciated.
Its been on FB for a little while and I quite like the idea of buying it and trying to use my spot weld drill to carefully partially dismantle the cab for repair sections 'Arthur Tussik'-style, plus the screen and doors would probably resell quite easily. I think the cab as a whole is toast as the roof is all bashed in on one side.
I havent got a space for dismantling it at my place.... but maybe the seller would let me do it on site.  I'll have a think about it and maybe drop him a note . Will let you know if owt happens!
