hi there, thanks for having me.
This is my exploit yellow Punto 75elx that I have owned for 10 years, and have restored.
I love this car, enjoy the photos.

Lovely AS buying experience!
The to sort out list isn’t major and consists of:
Fit missing door check mechanisms, one is kindly supplied 😊
Replace the gear lever gaiter as worn
Replace the O/S door mirror
Replace the Ripspeed special window winder on the passenger side
Maybe do a clutch change at some point as it is a bit high and heavy, we shall see.
The EML is on and I knew this, could be EGR or, in conjunction with an intermittent EPC warning, could be a TPS issue.
Engine Power Control unit….
Anyway, it didn’t go into limp mode but trundled along quite nippily, so happy face.
Its a cute little buzzbox 😊😊😊

An early Gs300 sport, I'd say is one of the 'rightest' looking cars of it's era

I throw a rag each side of the floor up against the sill when it rains heavily to absorb the water leaking from the windows. All my convertibles have done this, not just Saabs and there's not a lot you can do really.

And that is me back home! About 30mpg on LPG is good enough for me. Many thanks to @jonathan_dyane and @Tenmil Socket for making it a pleasant and easy trip.

Sorry to read the autoglym didn't work. I've recently had great success with renovo cleaner getting the green out of mine... it took 3 passes mind you. Then 2 coats of their dark blue dye and a coat of their UV proofer got it looking reasonably good again. Took a few days but satisfying and not too pricey really.

TADTS.. Rod the drains at the top of the A pillars and feed the window rubbers with silicone grease.

Nice purchase, I keep wanting to sell mine but never do. Even after buying the fantabulous A8, the Saab still felt great to drive today.
There are a lot of sensors in the roof. Really, that needs plugging into Tech 2 to tell you which one has gone bad.
I still have the lower bumper section from mine when I replaced it with an Aero item. It just clips on. You can have it FOC if you can find a way of getting it from Central Scotland to you.

I think a second pass on the autoglym is the next move, and then as you say I’ll go for some dye too. Yours looks great!

Spent a little time going through this today…
Things I learned:
- The roof issue is not the fuse. Bugger.
- There was so much dog hair! But it’s clean now.
- The spare wheel well was full of water. Not anymore.
- A broken window leaves a shed load of glass! All cleaned up.
- It has isofix! But they’re well buried!
- It threw an airbag fault at me… but I’d knocked the connector off when cleaning.
- it also threw a lock fault at me… but I jiggled the door electrics and it came back to life.
- The front bumper is badly cracked. Looks as if she ran over a tall curb.
- Someone has effected a shit repair to the boot opening mechanism meaning it now fouls the hood tonneau.
- Autoglym hood cleaner is expensive and did not get the green off the blue hood…
- I think the rear exhaust rubbers are missing.
- It’s a lovely thing to drive. And once I can get the roof working it will be awesome!

Took a delivery at lunchtime. I'm in the good books now as Ms Keymaster always wanted one.
Was a neighbours car. Has been sitting for about 6 months. The roof needs cleaning and sealing and the car in general wants a thorough valeting.
GOOD: History file mentions remap. Heated Seats.
BAD: Keeps indicating left. Don't mention the OMGTAXBAND.
An enjoyable few weekends are ahead getting it cleaned up and ready for the 3 sunny days we might get this year.
Anyone want a leggy CLK 220 CDI?

Hi @Dabooka Incredibly I got a reply off the garage that did the remap, they say it was a topgear tuning stage 1 map "done for economy".
The battery was new last year so worth a try to bring it back to life using SOS mode on my charger, before getting a new one. I'm not going to be using the car til I've reproofed the roof and given the interior a thorough clean anyway... Looks like a dry weekend ahead so I'll get most of that done in the coming days.
Starting to get a bit twitchy about the phantom left turn signal after scanning the forums on the topic. Seems a common issue and potentially a bit of a pig to sort out

Well another year’s MOT done, failed initially on a leaky fuel filter (well the union) but that’s sorted and no advisories. I’ll take that.
Also replaced the radiator cap as the existing one decided to separate itself in to two pieces. Now I need some weather to get the roof and a few other bits resolved. Decided I need a new motor in the NS mirror too plus some wiper blades.

along with the good news on the Panda (see other post) the Favorit has also been woken from its post ULEZ slumber and moved onto the driveway for a pre MOT once over. Once the Estelle had donated its battery it fired up instantly. Poor thing is starting to look a bit worse for wear though

If you can get someone with Tech 2 that will definitely pinpoint your issue and may be able to help with the new key issue too.

Haha that is not a question I can answer.. so far I've only driven it 300 yards from my neighbours to my house, and then had to leave the battery on charge all day in the hope it is recoverable
