  1. There's some more original pieces available in the shop, skip on over to https://www.angyl.co.uk/ to see what's up at the moment. If you've seen something I've done in the past that you'd like to buy, just drop me a line. If it's still in stock it's likely available, even if it isn't posted in the shop yet. I do commissions too if there's something particular you're after. https://www.angyl.co.uk/shop https://www.angyl.co.uk/shop/p/chevrolet-corvette-original-artwork https://www.angyl.co.uk/shop/p/mk1-ford-escort-mexico-original-artwork https://www.angyl.co.uk/shop/p/bmw-e30-touring-original-artwork Commission are also OPEN at the time of posting this.

    Pink

Accidentally met the owner as I was getting ready to leave so I got to tell her how excellent her Beetle was. Grandaughter also approved of the Princess which was a good car because it was in the best colour which is pink. The kids are alright. A rare example of a private plate done well too.
  3. Looks like this one wasn't on the list, thanks for the tip off
  4. It is, been around a while that one. Is that a stretch Tiffany Classic next to the Maestro?
  5. Tonight I have signed up to the local gym. That's not the grump. They have a fitness app I would like to use, it is available easily enough through the Google or Apple Store. I am lumbered with a Google device so that's the choice. Only I can't get it to install. Hilariously, when I try to log in to my Google on the phone it tells me the password is wrong. I use the exact same password on the PC, no bother. It's not flagging up a 'unknown device' or similar at me, it just refuses to work. Then it decided to make the page for actually downloading on the phone go so slowly as to be unusable. I'm also told this is normal and people are okay with it. That can't be right. I thought the whole point was the convenience, and so far I can think of only one instance when having a smartphone was convenient and that was only because I didn't have my dumbphone with me at the time to make a phone call.
  6. We are back on the Lanchester videos again, hurrah! This time, taking a look at that rear corner and seeing what to do about it.
  7. New design time! https://www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/159906258
  8. Today has been spent working on a friend's white Rover. Another friend was here helping and arrived in his red Rover. The Princess was just there to provide moral support and tools.
  9. Like the government (especially the current one) ever does anything with improving people's lives in mind other than their own.
  10. Hopefully he managed to take better photos than I did. I still don't want to sign up to FB mind, even though I know there's all those lovely wedge resources over there just waiting for me.
  11. *incoherent excited yelling and pointing* *image stabilisation has no power over my excitement* TWELVE YEARS I've been waiting for this to happen! An Ambassador encountered totally randomly in the wild. Mike, the owner of the Ambassador, was so surprised to see the Princess as he was leaving and I was arriving that he turned around and came back specifically to say hello. I am inordinately excited and I refuse to contain myself.
  12. I'm really trying to get this Patreon thing off the ground, you can find that here: https://www.patreon.com/NoExpenseSpent It's £3 a month. Youtube thus far hasn't paid me a penny and the channel growth has been slow but steady. Until you hit 1000 subscribers you don't earn anything, and even then it's not a lot. It certainly takes a while before Youtube income covers the time and materials put into content. Therefore, I've opted to do the Patreon thing, which I'm also currently earning nothing from. I really hope that changes soon. Patrons will get access to the same videos I put on Youtube but at least a week early and without ads. They'll also get access to whatever new design is going in the print shop before anyone else does, as well as voting on what the new designs will be. My goal is to release one automotive design a month, and for the people actually paying money to be the ones directing the subject matter. Anything I do in traditional media will also be available to Patrons first before I make it publicly available. Commissions are also OPEN again and I'd really welcome the work. Since the house move I'm really pushing to earn more and it's hard to do. I realistically need to double my income and I'm struggling to find the best way to do it due to a lack of knowledge. I've got a couple of local leads to chase up, and a back-up plan of applying for a part-time job to help out but there's only so many hours in a day and as passionate as I am about my job, I do have to face the reality that I might have to give it up if things don't improve drastically this year. Website here: https://www.angyl.co.uk
  13. Any degreaser of choice will do the trick, spray on Gunk or even dish soap in a squirty bottle will do the trick. Tends to be a bit easier to get off than engine oil. Lots of paper towel helps too, seems to be better at cleaning off and absorbing the LHM than fabric rags.
  14. The Berlingo et al seem to have superseded the mk1 Citroen Picasso. I do still see the old Picassos tooling about, not as often as I used to, but there's still a lot of them kicking about for what is quite an old car now. Mazda 323 and Demio of the early 2000s also seem to be surviving in surprising numbers, though often overlooked as the styling just seems to make them blend in.
  15. Having some fun and games here trying to get a gas bottle delivered. When I was in Kent I just called up Adam's Gas and they would deliver, no bother. Up here in Scunny I've been going through the list of suppliers, getting further and further away, and nobody does delivery. This is going to be a bit of an arse. I've got one call back to do on Wednesday to a company in Sheffield that *might* be passing through, but that's the best lead I've managed. Alternative suppliers in the Scunthorpe area that do delivery of Co2/Argon mig welding gas very welcome as suggestions. The cash is waiting, I just need the gas. EDIT: Never mind! Mariner Gas in Scunthorpe delivering tomorrow. Friendly, and made it very easy to do the order.
  16. Eadon Green Zeclat. It's £550,000-1,000,000 and they put those wheels and that grille on it. Obviously I want one and it would look great next to my Mitsuoka Orochi or similar that I'd definitely have if money was no object.
  17. Did have this one on the list but it is nice to see it looking so much better now than it did in 2016.
  18. Apart from accidentally cutting someone up on a roundabout today - honestly, lane choice and indication suggested they were going around the whole way, not coming off, and then the Princess did that weird bogging down thing that it does sometimes I've never been able to solve - this thing drove past me while doing some shopping. Not my photo, I wasn't able to get one, so I stole it off Pinterest. It genuinely looks better on the move than it has in any photo I've seen of it. I knew it was up north somewhere, and a regular at Whitby for obvious reasons, now I wonder if it's actually pretty local so I shall be keeping an eye out for photo opportunities on this one. Someone did tell me what it was built on once, but I've since forgotten.
  19. This is actually one of my all time favourite wedges out there. The wheel and colour combo is just spot on, I wish we'd got that over here when they were new.
  20. Ended up in accidental convoy with a bright pink New Beetle today with the plate H4 PNK. Sadly no picture, we ended up going different ways, one to look out for in the future. I guess pink cars are more popular in the North.
  21. Didn't take long to appear in this FB group again. Might be time for some passive aggressive "As seen on Cars You Don't See Anymore" stickers.
  22. Be sure to say hi if you see me and totally confuse the heck out of me when I've no idea who you are
  23. I do need a new windscreen, mine is definitely past its first flush of youth, slopey, and far from my face. Amazingly new screens are still available, £500 special order, and it is on my wishlist.
  24. I will be, when I've got the funds for new specs. I've not long had an eye test and that landed me with varifocals and a £400 bill for the privilege. For now I'll just avoid night driving.
