  1. They were quite a few (W202, W203, W211 and ML) used round here by Lothian and Borders for traffic patrol in the late 90s early 2000s. There were also a few A-Class patrol cars too. Then in the 2000s Mercedes totally pulled out of the police market.
  2. A sad day, but for totally understandable reasons. I've noticed recently that other weighty reference sites have started to vanish. No doubt for similar cost/time issues, It feels like we're passing peak internet of detailled reference sites that send you down rabbit holes.
  3. I often wonder what happened to Harold Shipman's Espace.
  4. There was a similarly early MK4 XR3i in that movie too.
  5. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155830907270
  6. That's a survivor. I saw a (also Glasgow registered Ghia trim) Fiesta of that shape a few weeks ago and thought how you never see them any more:
  7. This how I remember Sierras looking back in the day: https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1643523
  8. Those Tipo Saloons were an official Fiat offering and not just Arnie Shark, they only came in low spec 1.4 form (I like a saloon so could have been interested, but for that). They seemed to be getting knocked out for £9,995 pre-reg right from the off. So whilst they were available across the dealership network, I would not be shocked if they were unsold cars from Ireland or Cyprus or wherever.
  9. "The rear has a mock fireplace made up with a TV/dvd player, and retrofitted electric windows, integrated fridge in the seats, chandelier...." Jesus Christ on a Cracker. https://www.facebook.com/groups/193602934070978/permalink/6753121038119102/?sale_post_id=6753121038119102
  10. I had an UT E36 but it was a red sporty one, love that they did the base one too.
  11. Do you get many of the LPG ones round there? Quite a few round here now, including the weird late registration madness ones where they bought a lot of unregistered ones from, I believe, a failed export deal. https://www.vehiclerepoweringsolutions.com/new-cabs-for-sale Was briely excited that it was the 2.5 5cylinder from the MKIV Mondeo, but it seems to be a 4 cylider used in US stuff.
  12. They're saying that this "combines the practicality of a proper Scenic with a Crossover" Can you fit three child seats in it? No. Can your children see out the back windows? No. Get it tae fuck. Useless.
  13. I'm tempted to make an offer for the film rights to this thread "Across Britain for a Fucked Peugeot".
  14. £532, I like a Maestro but I suspect all things considered I'm being a bit generous at that.
  15. I did an overnight coach once. Never again. I think I slept more on the 20 min bus from the coach station back home at 9AM than I did on the actual coach.
  16. I've always had a soft spot for those Mexican Beetles, despite not being a fan of Beetles in general, I think it is because I love an anachronism, stuff that looks out of date even when new. Painted wheels and the new plates have lifted it too.
  17. Sometimes the most inoccuous thing can be the wrong thing to say to someone on the wrong day. You never know what someone has been dealing with. I hope HMC returns, his thread was a highlight of here for me.
  18. A reminder of a gentler time when these were the banger of choice on forum and "Gooner 2" wasn't someone who moaned about Mikel Arteta's tactics.
  19. When I win Euro millions I plan on setting up a warehouse that de-Trotterises unfortunate Reliants. Reliant 3 Wheelers fetch oddly strong money, and that type of Bellend who likes Trotterised ones is unfortunately common place. £2765.
  20. Probably less or a risk than the 320si. Only slightly, mind.
  21. This is full of win. Perfect sensible transport for the larger family.
