  1. It really is a fantastic colour combo, lovely car. Hope that it keeps going... Are those w202 hubcaps?
  2. Obligatory WTYP. Victoria Scott is a shiter at heart as well, really enjoyed her articles about taking a '95 diesel hiace around the US: https://www.thedrive.com/category/vanscontinental-express
  3. There's some good stuff that pops up further inland. Longhorsley/Longframlington and a bit west of there.
  4. Move a county north and have a look... More chance of me spotting one of your fleet then as well 😂
  5. I don't, but it would be handy. It's sometimes a bit tricky to get across to the indicator stalk.
  6. Luckily I have this as Mrs_oui_si managed to put 25l of petrol in her diesel car... It's a nice wee thing to drive.
  7. Thanks. One of Mrs_oui_si's photos when we started talking to each other on Bumble was of her with her old dog. Dog and nice bum? I had to say yes to a date...
  8. No idea, bud. Someone offered me silly money for it and I said yes.
  9. Gorgeous colour. What's the interior like? I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of silver cars but decent auto estates with hand controls that aren't £££££ or on Shetland seem to be hen's teeth.
  10. I had a ZT-T previously which was decent but not the best example. This one is in much better condition.
  11. Having access to land definitely helped find what worked best for me and get adjusted to how it works/reacts. It felt natural after 20 mins or so. Thanks. The temptation to act like I'm in a bed frame with a 998cc A-series is all too great 😂
  12. Back on the road thanks to a Conny-spec 75 with hand controls. Previous owner was a proper old gent. Slight corner scuffs and a couple of Giffer trim remedies but it seems to be a goodun. Just getting used to it and being back driving after 3.5 months. My withered shrimp fists can cope okay with the hand controls, but I've been using the throttle with my foot (brace means that I can't move my foot across to the brake) and the hand control for the brake... Unfortunately my knob was hewn from a different species of plastic tree than the dashboard so it clashes horribly. Dogs approve.
  13. Amaze. It fits the e39 oem styling requirements that I mentioned in your main thread as well.
  14. (wrong band, I know... I'm just craving a kebab, it's been well over a year.)
  15. It's one of my favourite threads on the forum, @Snake Charmer communicates really well the trials, tribulations and fixes of what would be a terrifyingly complex car to most.
  16. Yellow cinquecentos are all slowly migrating to Wales...
  17. Likewise Mrs_oui_si's 2.0 Diesel Sri estate thing is astoundingly competent. It just keeps going and going. It's now relegated to occasional use due to the work van but it's still a great thing. The £80 mk4 fiesta I had off here was a cracker, especially in the snow. 1.25 and wonderfully chuckable. MG ZT-T was better than I gave it credit for at the time. I'd have a grandad-spec 75 at the drop of a hat. And my Montego, possibly the worst example of the breed, with newspaper and expanding foam sills. One day I'll have a good one. Hopefully.
  18. That looks the double of one that my neighbour rattled around on when I was a wee lad. Strong memories there I bet he'll be over the moon ❤️
  19. Same as any show, there's some good, some bad and some bloody awful. Anathema if you're allergic to cars with silly suspension and wheels though, I suppose.
  20. Really honourable thing to do for your dad. Looking forward to seeing updates
