Sorry again.. didn't realise there were rules about posting pics of cars before asking for help. I should be reported to the mods as i'm clearly trouble.

^^ I think what he meant was the paper is of low quality and sometimes that means it doesn't photocopy well as the copier light shines through the paper simultaneously copying both sides  - if you see what I mean.

Ramps are a bit safer if you're doing a job that involves a bit of wrestling. A housebrick in front of the ramps can help with valance clearance issues.

I currently only have trolley jacks / axle stands. What would I gain from buying some ramps?

you may as well try it now! the screen on the xantia is very scratched all over, autoglass lolm8 'd me when I ran it through their checker so I'm looking at doing something.

try it, worse case you get a ripple, which won't be any worse than a scratch

I did an MG once, takes very light scratches out, but removes glass so there is always a ripple, but not the scrape there was before.
The paste flies everywhere, got it on my hood and it wouldn't come off. Best to cover everything in sight.
New screen is always the best bet anyway.

anything more than the lightest marks leaves wobbles/ripples like looking through a coke bottle

Mix powder to a milky solution.. Milkshake not watery.

Mark the scratch with a pair / / of lines INSIDE glass with a chinagraph pencil or ladies eye pen.

Keep pad very WET... DRY will burn glass!!

Use a poondies 1" brush to float compound across glass and polish into the wet smear.

    Keep pad very WET...

It is difficult to see how it is going (fuckkinn mess) but just a quick wipe with your hand or a jiffy cloth and the marks INSIDE show where you are checking.

Radial with scratch rather than floor mop circles. KEEP MOVING!!
