Central London. Wimpole Street winner, or thereabouts. Westminster. Been there years these two. Roupell Street. Back to SE London. This is local to me and I'm surprised it's still around. I nearly swapped my old Safrane for it in 2018 I think.

This here south London. Posh area, check. Zero fucks given, check. @Skizzer Espace with some local MCM before it became a ULEZ refugee. That was in a pub car park near Biggin Hill where all the RAF pilots used to hang out.

Sadly it's gone, which might be a recent thing. But he's replaced it with a Caro. Spud cam drive by photo. I had a search and the Polonez was in a Telegraph article in March 2022. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/cars/classic/uks-rarest-cars-1989-fso-polonez-one-11-left-britains-roads/ Rabiej’s G-registered example is one of the few surviving right-hand drive models still on the road, mainly due to the factory’s limited protection against corrosion. I had to sign up to The Telegraph to get that screen grab. Things you do eh. Better phone up and cancel the subscription tomorrow as, of course, there's no option to do it online.

There's a low millage one that lives near me. Photo from January 2021 and the MoT ran out 9 months later. Still there albeit with pogged paint. ULEZ is irrelevant seeing how he doesn't use it.

Cracking purchase, and correct gearbox option too. Manuals are fine but the auto 'box in these are one of the best I've ever tried.

Yep. If you want some clown to enter random codes and disable your car, I'm available 24/7.

Six Cylinders Motoring Notes - Saying goodbye to a fleet member!
RobT replied to Six-cylinder's topic in AutoShite
I'll be a day visitor on Saturday if that's alright. Either in the Polo that I've spent two months fixing (HGF) or the Espace. The latter might be better though as I could act as a shuttle service for the drivers collecting chod from storage. -

12/13 August for me please. -
I won't be able to make it after all now. Been feeling crap mentally this week, and 600 miles in the Espace might be asking too much (of both of us). But it'll be good to do some shite related events soon, so will aim for a FoD meet instead.

Sod the exotic stuff, Fuego please. Thank you.
-
I'll be attending this year. Staying off site and no food required. Possibly in the @SkizzerEspace, although 600 miles in a weekend might be asking too much of the old thing.

I'm in Beckenham so can take a look if anyone is interested.

Hardly affordable these days, but NSU Ro80 anyone? Preferably with a rotary engine. Or a VW K70.
-
Donated, but also happy to shitely parts if you find anything in the south-east that needs collecting or storing temporarily.

Someone in our flats is having a well overdue nonce clear out. A 1986 Royal Wedding mug might be in there, but I couldn't see it.

Fleet update, as I haven't done one in ages. The Xedos passed its MoT today so that's a relief. It's my main car so I won't have to use the Polo as my plan B. That got an MoT last month after I'd sorted the rear brakes, new back 'box and general servicing. Plus four new tyres once it passed as the old ones were cracked to fook. First ticket in three years. Will sell it in a few months as it was only meant as a quick project and something to muck about with. The Morris is still here, or rather on my parents' driveway. Started it up the other day after being dormant for four months then went for a bimble. The Metro is now 40 so I applied for historic status this week. I think the last time I used it was in October, so that needs starting up and a good run at some point. Once the Polo is gone I'm not sure what to get next. I keep wondering whether to get a Renault 18 from Spain or something, but the last time I tried I got nowhere (as in the sellers just ignored me). Plus can I really be arsed anyway.

These were all from one spotting session on a walk from Peckham to Beckenham. I'd dropped the Skizzer Espace off at a clutch place in Peckham as it needed a dose of looking at, and decided to make a day of it. Dunno if the owner will still have this 740 post 29th August. Might be on disabled tax. This bloke is winning. The South Circular Escort. Been there years. This Multipla sold on eBay a few days ago for £1,200. Was half tempted as I need to try one before they all disappear. A mile down the road another one... An SD1 used to live in this spot. Fucked and up on bricks IIRC. P6 looks like a runner.

Due an update. These are on my manor but I had no idea they existed, as I never go down these roads. Felt a bit bad taking a photo of someone's house face on, but I won't make a habit of it.

Autoshite Southern Meet Up Flower Farm Sunday 26 March 2023
RobT replied to inconsistant's topic in AutoShite
I'd have come to this, but been ill with Covid all week so no mixing for me. Hopefully I'll have some energy to do some car tinkering instead. -
That's a result, hopefully it was just the battery then. I had similar with the Skizzer Espace recently, although that involved cutting out rather than non-starting. Charged up the battery and it was fine.
