    Not been on here in ages though thought I'd make a grin post as with great surprise my transit passed it's mot on Wednesday. Considering the advisorys last year and the fact I've managed nothing more than to clean it once and give it an oil change I'm dead pleased not to be arsing about in the dark trying to make the free retest. Tester did say I've either got my work cut out or may want to just drive it into the river before next year! I'll do some work on it soon, honest.

    I thought you meant one of these and was really hoping it was not wet for the reason that was going through my head:

    Lay the magazine on a towel
    Open up the magazine and try to separate each page from the next (if it gets to hard or soggy stop,you might tear) wiping away any excess fluid
    Open it up to the middle and leave it there to dry freely DO NOT USE a hairdryer.

    In all seriousness I normally just soak it up with a towel and wring it out and then find the source of the leak and plug it up. No drilling holes in the floor. It will only take half an hour.

    ^^ I've done that. Left my Ford Cougar outside a shop on a hill and ran in to get a sandwich. Came out and it was nowhere to be seen. It was at that moment I spotted it, at the bottom of said hill in the middle of a very busy roundabout. Miraculously it didnt hit anyone as it careered backwards down along street and over two lanes on the roundabout,

    Sheepishly walked over to tuts and glowers and drove away

    MOT testers response to wheeling this out of the transit today

    ''You got papers for that mate''

    *Latest I could find pic, Imagine the same bike but with more wear and wheels.

    Despite the looks, abuse, last minute fixeration and the slight cat C mishap late last year it's another clean sweep with no advisorys for the old donk. It has had hours and some not insignificant monies spent on it this year so I was quietly confidant though never the less dead chuffed with the result. Just need to fine tune the suspension and then I'll concentrate on building up the spare lump as a hot (luke warm would do) motor top starve of lay up time when the one pot lump eventually boils it's swede.

    Insurers are generally fine with my shite camper (74 VW that was built as a minibus) because I told them that it was professionally converted in the past (this could be true but is highly unlikely).

    The fact that hardly any of it's original camping fittings survive isn't an issue, just the fact that a paid mechanic fitted some of it.  No proof of this has ever been required.

    One of the lads in the Facebook car club that i run, (the one with the low mileage bodykitted red Volvo 740 & a beige Sierra) has just bought this hunny too! I don't know what it is but he's only in his early 20's, some kids have all the taste!

    I cleared out two bin bags full of crap last time it had a flat but it hides more shit than our blocks bin cupboard. There's now mice shit in the door pockets ffs.
    Next advisory I'm expecting;

    . Excessive use of grease to hide pre advised blown rear shocks.

    i got this one on mine, i dont consider my rust proofing as heavily done, the tester did say he can feel and see that its solid and not rotten, but hes got to cover his behind so he popped this as an advisory
