  1. Thank you it is the right car. So many parts have already been removed I feel they would end up as the ones I needed. I have a green interior (should be Blue) and don't think red works with light blue outside. The cost of transport makes it prohibitive.
  2. The pez shot, yes full as I needed to see if the fuel gauge worked along with the speedo as they are often broken on these Volvos. I have now collected the Volvo 940 Estate fitted with a new cambelt, tensioner and oil change and it is running great. 3 out 4 isn’t bad! Yes 3 out of 4 of our Volvos are legal, working and on the drive ready to go.
  3. From April the regular Milton Keynes Classic Car Club meeting at the Giffard Park will be First Friday evenings each month and they will use random Sundays for visits to various other events. Milton Keynes Modern Classic is now on summer dates so First Saturday Breakfast meet and Third Thursday evening Classics and chow both at the Rose and Crown Ridgemont.
  4. A much better turn out today at Milton Keynes Classic Club and while a bit foggy on the way the sunshine came through. @Prince_of_darkness91 came with his "new" Allegro and was constantly asked where the square steering wheel was! I took the 480 and for the first time was joined by another 480.
  5. No information to offer. I have asked car people from Milton Keynes, nobody seems to know very much except the owner still lives in the house was mentioned recently. This morning it was wet, dull and early so I checked to see all 170 bhp were working and had time to park opposite and move off again without getting in anybody’s way.
  6. This morning was the first breakfast meeting following a change to "summer dates" for Milton Keynes Modern Classics. It felt like a winter day, cold and raining so only 6 of us turned up and only me in a classic. On the positive side Breakfast bap and a coffee for £5. I took the opportunity to drive past a house that has always had non running BL cars parked outside to my knowledge since 1985, when I drove past regularly. Tomorrow is Milton Keynes Classic Cars (as opposed to Modern Classics) Breakfast meeting at the Giffard Park Pub and we will see how the weather is and how that effects the usually good numbers who attend. All welcome, classic cars and plenty of parking for dailies’ as well if you want a trip out.
  7. twosmoke300 and the LNA take
  8. Our LNA was out and about last year and in spite of its poor appearance went to the autumn Citroen Rally.
  9. It is amazing what clean oil can do. Our 50k mile 2016 Range Rover had a clonk on moving off with lock on and I suspected a bush but feared the transfer case. I had a Land Rover specialist look for the fault and no fault found. I asked another Land Rover specialist to look for it as it was very noticeable and always there. They said change the transfer case oil, Bingo clonk gone.
  10. Any good? I had thought about ordering some myself but had no immediate use for them so have held off, but could order if asked. https://www.temu.com/uk/500pcs-black-nylon-plastic-washer-assortment-set-suitable-for-high-temperature-and-dielectric-insulation-sizes-m2-m10-convenient-boxed-packaging-g-601099516570353.html?top_gallery_url=https%3A%2F%2Fimg.kwcdn.com%2Fproduct%2Ffancyalgo%2Ftoaster-api%2Ftoaster-processor-image-cm2in%2F9a203a9e-f0a5-11ed-8f9c-0a580a698dd1.jpg&spec_gallery_id=25896797&refer_page_el_sn=209279&_x_vst_scene=adg&_x_ads_channel=facebook&_x_ads_creative_id=120202411434360498&_x_ads_id=120202411431920498&_x_ads_set=120202411423700498&_x_ads_sub_channel=shopping&_x_ns_catalog_id=199597222861762&_x_ns_gid=601099522270107&_x_ns_placement=Facebook_Desktop_Feed&_x_ns_product_id=17592241007356&_x_ns_site_id=102&_x_ns_source=fb&_x_from=fb_dpa&_x_ads_account=141480289004700&refer_page_name=kuiper&refer_page_id=13883_1709209041235_i7enve0601&refer_page_sn=13883&_x_sessn_id=nzdfu2vvsk
  11. I think your rally driving explains why the Morris 1300 steering rack is worn!🤣
  12. I have bought it already broken so I knew what I was getting into. It is not the first time I have had a 2316cc Volvo with cam belt failure, last time I was driving our 1988 740GLE saloon. It just needed a cam belt and all was well again so we are hoping this one is the same.
  13. We believe the idler pulley failed and the result was the cambelt has slipped off. It was driving at slow speed and it just died. The car is now with our favourite garage and a cam belt and tensioner has been ordered ready for the work to be done.
  14. I know, I know I need to strike the word "YES" from my vocabulary!
  15. When this fully working Volvo Estate was last for sale both Mrs6C and I liked it. I tried to work out a narrative as to why I should buy it, but couldn’t. Now it is broken we have bought it!
  16. @Slowsilver came over today, he helped me collect the Sigma and then a bit of tinkering. We put the washer return valve in hot water so it would come off the washer pipe to replace the washer bottle cap, as I am now using a used liquid soap bottle. Next we took the driver's seat out to drill some extra holes in the brackets so the seat is now an inch further back.
  17. Ride of Shame! It won't start. Press the button the dash lights and then goes black again.
  18. Just go into Hazeldine Butchers order 1 lb of sausages, 4 lamb chops and a Rolls Royce. I believe they are sold out of 20/25’s but still have 20 HP's in stock! Then try a Dentist for a check-up, filling and a Rolls Royce!
  19. The 480 got a trip out yesterday to MK Modern Classics breakfast meeting, it took me 15 mins to chip the frozen hail off it before I could drive it. It does have a good heater which is why the Morris 1300 did not get a look in.
  20. Yes I have tried that as well, but my Rolls Royce came from a Butcher!
