  1. It is shelving for the container/barn that Andyrew found for sale and this is load number two he has bought to us. And yes it needs work to assemble it including cuting down the 9 foot uprights to 7 feet for the container. Thank you @Andyrew
  2. It did not appeal, now a 403 is getting warmer, 404 is hotter my era. Spot on for me is the 504 and I have one.
  3. Page 402, strange I have just been asked if I want to buy a Peugeot 402!
  4. Cars from today! We had 3 large Mercedes estates at the FoD today so we made the Ami do the work.
  5. The longest serving member of the fleet is the E-Type which I have owned 40 years this month. Strangely I have remained friends with the seller who I did not know, just answered an ad in Thames valley Trader all these years and he still has another E Type. At the other end of the scale the Ami is the newest, just 6 weeks ownership. Oh and the BMW E3 11 years of ownership.
  6. Oh Shit, they are rebuilding the railway near us including replacing several bridges!
  7. I have been asked if I could display my Jaguar E Type in Thornborough Village for the Platinum Jubilee celebration 3rd June. This morning Talbot had a few minutes while Mrs6C prepared the barn ready for slating. It gave Talbot and I the opportunity to take a look at my E Type, which was buried at the back of storage so lots of moving cars. The E-Type has been spiting back though the rear carburettors. Turns out to have two reversed plug leads at the distributor cap. Then Talbot took it for a test drive. That was when it all went wrong, thinking it was going very well he took a wrong turning. While tracing has steps back the E-Type cut out not to run again. I went out to rescue him in his Mercedes estate (I was driving the Ami). A check of the fuel system revealed nothing so we moved to the ignition and found the coil was dead. As it was parked on a quiet but 60mph lane we elected to tow it back to storage with the Merc. I have found a new coil, but we did not have time to fit it yet to prove our diagnosis.
  8. Today was supposed to be a regular workday 9-5, but I wanted to move some cars around and had to do that during normal working hours. First car to start was 230TE just to move it out of the way. Next was the E320 Coupe to storage partly as transport to get there and partly to ease the drive congestion. The 2CV was prebooked for MOT so after a jump start I drove it home and snapped a photo with my Ami. Then forward to my favourite garage who are dealing with the MOT, service and air filter we blew up. For my return they had my MOTed, serviced and tyre replaced M3 ready for me. One the way back I had it cleaned. and while in was being done I popped into the garage in Winslow who had agreed to arrange another MOT and they asked me what I was bringing. I declined to answer! I manged to find a sports ground car park to take some fresh pictures of the M3 ready to advertise it more widely. I then put the M3 back in storage to keep it clean and because I needed to get there for my next move. Next was another jump start and a lumpy idle, this time the BiTurbo 425 I have been itching to drive again. It ran like a pig and I think the brakes were also dragging, but we made it. Even with it in front of the garage I was asked what is it? For my next movement the MG Metro was ready so I got to drive it home with its new MG decals. I have kept it out for the weekend so it will visit the FoD and may do the high speed fish and chip run Saturday night. I never did get to start work today, cars are much more fun!
  9. Ami will be there. Bad news on the field, while there are no animals at the moment, where the heavy horses have been in the field it is very bumpy. I took the Mercedes 230TE out into the field the other day and it is so rough that I would not want any of my cars driven around it. Anybody with a 20 Ton roller please bring it with you!
  10. Good point, Instead of drinking tequilero by the pool there are a few fixey things to keep you entertained! BMW 3.0 S E3 - fit fuel filter, points, condenser, plug leads, distributor cap and rotor arm. Mercedes 230TE - fit replacement drivers seat base. Citroen Ami 8 - fit new front shock absorbers
  11. For Saturday evening Mrs6C has prepared a pile of fire wood for the enclosed garden fire pit.
  12. Autoshiters please come and see us this weekend, the weather is lovely, dry, warm and sunny. Just jump in! If you have never been to the FoD before just PM me for joining instructions. Pets welcome, children welcome, parents welcome. Free camping, for motorhomes, caravans, tents and car sleepers. The final thing I have to temp you with is Mrs6C has bought a large new kettle for the gas stove!
