  1. Having a towbar fitted to ours this week. We have a little erde trailer that we use for camping.
  2. I need a set for my e60. Choice is limited. A lot offered for sale are only fit for recycling.
  3. I have this! Quite possibly my favourite toy car ever. Mine is on the later card. I saw the dinky stingray in an earlier post - it really gives me the heebeegeebees. The men at Dinky got it spectacularly wrong.
  4. Booked my HGV theory test. End of June.
  5. I really like the tourer. They made a bi turbo with the diesel engine - nearly 200 hp. The VXR is a good performer however the issue is whether or not you could put up with the running costs for something with a Vauxhall badge.
  6. M56. Junctions 11 and 12. Avoid. Motorway is closed. The area around Warrington looks like the end of the film deep impact. A bridge on the A533 is being demolished this weekend. Given the length of time it has taken I assumed the bastard had been demolished last year. I have no idea why civil engineering projects can take so long in this country. Anybody who lives or works in St Helens will know that the bull and dog roundabout looks like a branch of Huws Gray with little or nothing getting done on it. The roads are becoming so bad I avoid driving if possible - even the thought of a blast on the bike does nothing for me any more.
  7. Found myself looking on ebay. At maserati. They seem a bargain but then I remembered hgf cost £6k to repair.
  8. In Rhos on Sea today. Little shop that sells antiques and collectibles. He has lots of cars. I clocked this in his cabinet - As I was paying for it I mentioned I had very few majorettes - not many had survived childhood. " I have a box of majorettes somewhere" says the owner. He has a rummage in the back and brings out a box. Full of them - all playworn. I bought a few more. I did have this one as a nipper. But not the others.
  9. I purchased this last week. The BMW had a few issues and diagnostic sessions are not cheap. This is the version 3.0. I could have bought a used 2.0 for less but this has more functionality. I did notice it could be used to reset the adaptations on the gearbox - for me, the box is the worst part of the car - despite being on it's third lot of fluid in 100k some of the shifts were snatchy. It also does the same for the engine. Well I have been pleasantly surprised. The car is transformed. Gear changes are barely perceptible and the engine is much smoother ( I assume it must reset the throttle). I also fixed the PITA rear windows. You can use it to code injectors and when installing a new battery. It does mini and Rolls Royce. I have had the car five years - this is the smoothest it has been. Sad really as I am punting it on after the MOT next month. Verdict? Very good.
  10. Giving my new toy a whirl..... and no it's not the apache....
  11. This arrived yesterday - There were nicer examples available. But this is the only example I have seen with the big whizzwheels.
  12. I loved our B5 passat pd. And i'd have another. However I did feel guilty about what came out of the exhaust.

    Ford timelord

Ex miltary? Probably from a US Base and then sold on.
  14. Never seen the blue one. Had the yellow one multiple times due to my dad not realising I already had one.
  15. This came the other day - purchased to go on the transporter I acquired the other week. Just ordered another period junior to go with it.
  16. The gaskets need a blob of sealant at each end. High crankcase pressure can cause leaks here - I have actually seen valley gaskets "swell" due to the pressure. The tin gaskets seem to be preferred to the composite ones by engine builders.
  17. Started to see a few shedding their lacquer. I have been told some are starting to dissolve at the back.
  18. A few vaux botherers on here ( including me). Anybody owned a viceroy?
