As noted on here on a few threads, some Aldi tools are pretty good value for money.I hate to be the one to ask but......
When was anything "Cheap" any good?

Is the polisher in the original photo an adjustable speed one? If not, it'll be useless. I've got a Silverline one like this
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231296268021
Fifty notes so it's cheap compared to a professional one, it's nice and light to use, adjustable speed and a decent 'keeper' tool. I bought mine a few years back and only use it occasionally, but it does the job perfectly. Completely coincidently, I used mine this afternoon to polish my back bumper as it's covered in scratches, and I'm trying to sell the car. Polisher along with cutting paste did a pretty damn good job, and way easier than a hand job (fnar).

I'd like to see video of this beastie running - any available?! Love the sound of a Triumph straight six, and the 2.5 in a Spit shell is going to be a right giggle. No! It has already been subjected to upgradings! A 2.5 StanParts engine is resident, promising much wheelspinning fun once it has coolant and a clean tank...

Looks like fun. Intrigued by the Spitfire - is it a two litre GT6 lump then?

Not sure if I've missed something, but I thought you were struggling to find funds to get the other Renner back on the road? Adding another to the fleet may not help the situation. Have you got room to keep them both under cover as well, knowing old French tin's propensity to rust?

Park on the road, innit.

That's a lot of Swede for the money. Brother in law has a standard W plate 95 Aero and it's a cracking car. I love the way they put out so many horses through, yet many don't have a clue just how powerful they actually are. Good luck with the sale.

Gold one definitely rocks the roof rails pretty well. Never even heard of an SRD model. Mother had a GRD 205 years back and that was pretty well specced iirc.
-
So is your gold 305 a posh one? I see it has roof rails, but the red one doesn't. Estate still looks a handsome looking thing.

What a bunch of slimy barstewards. I'd say its a more than reasonable request to expect a six year old car, which cost you £5.5k to last more than two months/2000 miles. REGARDLESS of the warranty limit given, I cannot see how you have caused the gearbox failure in such a small number of miles covered since you bought the car, thereby suggesting it was faulty and not fit for purpose when it was sold to you. I'm assuming that the gearbox didn't give any clues of imminent failure in the interim? Whatever the case, I'd be asking a solicitor the likelihood of success on your part, should you take the garage to small claims court. If nothing else, I'd be openly telling the whole world what the name of the garage is, and what a bunch of shits they are.

If you didn't want to park a car in the new space, you could always invite Space into the space.

Nice looking space!

Still see stuff like that and think ''new car'' , Who are these mentalists leaving shiny green lumps of metal like this slumped on a kerb somewhere.. Why not just sell the fucking thing.
Because dead? Or incapacitated? I'm not sure everyone who 'dumps' a car is a knob.

The 304 floppytop is a lovely looking thing. I've always thought they're a handsome design - Pininfarina aren't they? Shame that the galloping rot seems to like them, but glad yours is now solid!

Good find! Love the house as well; scary how different Cornwall property prices are (apart from the posh/fishing bits) compared to many others parts of the country.

Careful is key. Low speed at first, use figure of eight motion and keep it moving. Press very, very lightly until you're used to it. Quite satisfying tbh!
