  1. On paper, none of the modifications on this Renault 4 should work. However, the finished article actually looks great. Bizarre!
  2. If Issigonis was on his deathbed, one look at photos of that carbunkle should be enough to finish him off. I'd imagine it must have taken a lot of work to make that Mini look so awful.
  3. What a lovely thing. Huge fan of the 626 too. Late 70s/early 80s Mazdas have all but gone here in the UK. As for your Corona, the back end reminded me a little of the smaller cousin - the Corolla Liftback. A neighbour owned one around thirty years ago - it was quite an unusual sight even then. One thing though- rethink sacking off those Enkeis - they're lovely! (unlike the BM8s on the Liftback above, which look waaay too big).
  4. My MR2 Roadster and my father's old gen 7 Celica both have/had bolt in stereo surrounds. Piece of piss to remove them though - literally five minute job.
  5. I love the look of this thing. Prudent to give the other front wing and front valance a lick while you're at it too? I'm with Split Pin on the grille - the car is delicious in it's simplicity already.
  6. Great to see the primer going on. I thought the Acclaim was a labour of love, but this older cousin is another level! Cap doffed to the pair of you. I spotted this post from Captain 70s from 2015 from this very thread. What's next on the list?! 😅
  7. Immaculate work. The steel chassis really suits it. Are the strut bolts threaded into the uprights?
  8. That's fantastic! It would be great to see some photos of the chassis setup - did you build it yourself or adapt it from something else? Sounds good to me. Pm me when you get chance.
  9. I'd imagine not, but if you're moving the 800 on, I know of a good home for it
  10. For a thirty year old car which has sat around for four years, there's nothing particuarly alarming on that list. The key thing is there's no mention of creeping gingerness, which is virtually unheard of on a Metro. Someone buy it!
  11. That's phenomenal. Someone has a serious eye for detail. I love the fact it's legally registered as WGU 18E when the Timelord was registered as WGU 18G. Small detail but it makes all the difference. A quick search suggests it's been around in this guise for over a decade...
  12. Is this the one and same Tatra? If so, it's for sale...
  13. My brother had one of those, but in silver. He was born in '79.
  14. Give him a call. Number's in the ad. Cheap too.
