I've seen that one doing the rounds on Twitter recently. Marina was last taxed in '89 so the photo looks to be more like early 80s I'd have thought. Almost twenty years of life for the Marina was pretty impressive to be fair...

I've got a number of diecast for sale in one lot. 23 models in total, mostly 1970s/1980s Matchbox and Corgi. The 1973 yellow Matchbox Rolomatics Wildlife truck and the black 1983 Matchbox Ford Sierra XR4i are particularly clean along with the red Superkings Ford truck rental van and the boxed Norev Renault F4 van. The red Citroen BX estate is a proper rarity! £10 plus the postage.

Kiltox’s 1994 Vauxhall Astra Cabriolet! 09/06 - notDITCHFINDERS

Pure GM class. It looks as though it survived until 2010 so it did very well compared to most of its contemporaries. I wonder how many ended up with an XE dropped in? -

Our first convertible, a 92 Eunos which we owned from 2005-8. We had masses of fun with this brilliant little car and it paved the way for other floppytops since. I did try and track it down and buy it back as a surprise for my fiancée's 40th but it transpires it was scrapped around six months previous. I guess it would never have been quite the same though. A lasting memory is being parked looking out over the sea in Weymouth eating fish and chips with the roof down. In winter. In the dark. Great times! I also owned the Hilux at the time - both were excellent vehicles for very different reasons! -
Hang on, which one's this?

I tried to find the 'post a photo of yourself' thread but just can't work out what the actual title was. Anyone? Slightly self-indulgent. Photo of our band circa 2004. All have aged a little* since this was taken. I'm not sat on the Rover, by the way. We had a few photos taken to go in the sleeve of our self-funded demo and decided to have some done with cars in the background. This was the one I liked the best - we stumbled across a small, open yard with a few cars owned by a racer. The 3 litre Rover was the best-looking by far and still looked relatively solid despite its imminent arranged meeting with its maker. Sombre expressions all around. -
Is anyone selling an Oxford diecast 1:43 BT H.A van? Thought I'd ask on here on the offchance... One of these...

I don't think I've ever owned a green car. Yellow, yes. My 81 Metro was primula yellow, 81 Polo was that light yellow VAG used at the time (similar to Ford's prairie yellow from the same era) and my 84 Nova SR was jamaica yellow. I do quite like the candy red metallic shade used on the current range of Mazdas.

Have you ever sold "the car you'd never sell"?
Dick Longbridge replied to KitKat's topic in AutoShite
The thing is with a car like your Beetle is that I'm sure you sold it for solid money and that the new owner will likely look after it reasonably well knowing they paid the higher end of the scale for it due to its clean, restored condition. My MR2 is very much currently at the lowest point as far as values go and I think it's unlikely the majority of future owners would bother going above and beyond the call of duty to preserve it when it could be replaced with another £2k sports car relatively easily. Having said all of that, when deciding whether to sell a special car regardless of value, rarity or general desirability, I always say you have to assume that you'll never see it again and that subsequent owners will ruin it. If you accept that may well happen and just want the £££ in your hand, then it's all good. -

Tomcats look so good now. I'm struggling to recall when I last saw one in the metal! Great to see yours looking pretty solid! -
