Ordered some steel today, also, tried the bonnet on the bug - it only goes and freaking clears the engine! SWEET!

Driving a Panhard 24 is... well... like making love to a beautiful French woman.

It can get awkward at times, uncomfortable even... You may even find yourself wondering whether she's just overrated and a British model would have been better.  But every time you're out with her in public, you'll see the envy in the eyes of others and you'll know you've made the right choice !

We charge £20 to valet a car at work (usually while the customer is driving one of the vans). We'll probably charge my former employer a little more though as it took me 3 hours to get their LDV Maxus looking faintly presentable on Saturday.

It was getting close to the point where new types of microorganisms were likely to develop amongst the grub. I was close to pressure washing the inside but I probably wouldn't have been popular if I gave it any more electrical issues being as my clever idea to get the tachograph disconnected (by a mechanic) caused enough issues to sideline it for six months.

I'm not very confident at car mechanicals but yesterday I removed the alternator without damage or injury and now I feel like king of spanners.

The Rialto 2 model did indeed have a high comp engine, different cam, carb set up and dizzy, together with a different axle ratio. These were indeed capable of over 100 (tho a good standard one will nudge that anyway) remember one guy being nicked in one in the 80s for doing 104 on the motorway. The reason for the change wasnt speed tho,it was economy, those were good for 70+mpg if driven carefully. The reason for the change back to standard was because reliant owners were complaining that they couldnt just stick it in 4th at 30mph any more and had to use the gears more.Reliant owners arent scared of anything,if they were, they wouldnt drive one!

This Cherry turned up on here with Retrogeezer before passing to Eddieramrod then Micrashed. I only meant to keep it a couple of months but a change of lifestyle has meant that owning two vehicles that are likely to start on a morning is useful.

The other is not quite an AS bike yet but is ex-DW

Which was part ex-ed for that BX, shown here behind the definitive AS bike

That Accord looks great! Lot of money for a car with no test, but if the wheels really cost £600 he's not exactly turning it for a big profit is he. It's not like the bonnet's been nitromors'd and sticker bombed or owt, give the lad a break I say
