Actual breakdowns 2 Dacia electrical meltdown at FotU (got home at 3.30am) and motorbike chain snapping on the way back from FoD. There were a few minor FTPs with both these vehicles but nothing else caused more than 10 minutes delay. Crash's 1 Fell off the motorbike on the first day of Lands end to JoG trip after a bit too much back brake on a wet road. Fixed* most of the damage with gaffer tape.

They might be, just bought my ticket and it's open 7.30am-7.30pm. Not many people will arrive at 7.30am (and those that do might leave early) but it's surely going to be better than the gates opening at 10am.

I got VALU for my £28 by staying till half ten at night this year (with 4 in the car). Realistically if it is going to be on later next year I'll need to book overnight accommodation nearby so an extra £10 on the ticket price is going to make very little difference to overall costs.

I've just got the renewal email from Churchill (with some prove you're not a robot bollocks that isn't showing up so I don't know what it is). Done a bit of comparing the meercats and I can get it down to a little over £240 (with £500 excess). The downside I'm finding is that the cheaper quotes don't include driving other cars. If I upgrade to premium cover they do but that's another £60 or so with no other useful benefits.
