NBÂ The last bit of it went in the bin today, I found the dented door from the car park incident buried in the scrap pile.
The car itself went to Chompy snake as a straight swap for the Ronnie Pickering red picasso which despite all is still going.
Â
Edit, too slow! Lol
Â
I weighed the door in using a ldv convoy if anyone wants to know.

Right, first things first. Flat tyre isn't a problem if I can't get the car to start so let's have another go.
Â
Â
This time I pressed down on the "key" while it was in the slot and all the dash lights came on.
Â
Â
So...
Â
Â
and...... nothing.
Â
Hold down key while pressing start with other hand however, and it started. No noises, didn't cut out when I let go of the key. Actually you can remove the key at this point, it seems to only want it when starting. Left it to warm up a bit while I considered the tyre situation. I didn't think to bring a pump or a compressor. Check valve, tyre is not completely flat. This is a good sign, so
Â
Â
Â
Â
One inflated tyre later...
Â
Â
Â
And off I go back to the yard via the back lanes (because SORN)

Hey hey! Get your ORIGINAL LAGUNA THREAD action right here.
Â
No updates for four weeks because it has surpassed all expectations by not siezing its engine, having electrical meltdown or snapped springs and no-one crashed into me either. Boring then. Yesterday I had to go look after my parents for the night (long story...) so I went to Middlesbrough in it, everything went fine. By the time I got home today however, the OSR wheel is stinking hot and smells of brakes and the car does the shitting dog pose when you try to reverse. I think I found the cause of the poor handbrake performance.
Â
Yay.

No, that's vampires. This is a zombie plauge so everyone exposed will at some point buy a laguna.

Today was a landmark day. Not only did I have to jumpstart the bloody focus because it sat so long outside the house the battery went flat, but I drove my 1000th mile in the Laguna. I think it's staying.
Â
I also think that's its cue to go wrong again. It did remind me the other day that it's still french - it was sunny so it opened the sunroof for me even though I didn't ask it to.

There is a reason for that too.

Here's the very first Haynes manual, Mr H stripped and rebuilt a midget and wrote about it incorporating pictures and diagrams from the BMC and Autocar. This was presumably quite hard going because his next few books were for everything else ever fitted with an a series and mostly a cut and paste from the MG book.

I think all the starship enterprise/zombie survival etc jokey manuals probably outsell the car ones.
