My latest acquisition:
 

 
It's a Peter Lynn Competition ST kite buggy....Given a clear stretch of beach, and brisk wind, and a large enough kite, it'll hit speeds of up to 70mph (apparently ), and given that You're sitting about 2 inches off the floor, that's gotta feel VERY fast!
 
As a novice, I've restricted myself to a 4-metre kite for now, which I'm currrently learning to fly properly (in itself, quite a handful!) before taking to the buggy....I'll let You know what it's like, assuming I don't get carried out to sea, never to be seen again!
 
Anyone else with any unusual wheeled hobbies?

....Has anybody else experienced "EXPLODING TAILGATE GLASS SYNDROME" ????
 

 
Still walking like an old man, so I decided to drive down into the village today to vote, and for a doctors appointment (Another 5 weeks off work....Yay!)....Imagine my surprise as I returned to the car, to see that it appeared to have grown a "Fast And Furious" style roof spoiler!
 
Closer inspection revealed that the tailgate glass was shattered all over the place....It was plainly not a break-in, as they'd have had to get past the dog-guard, and indeed, my phone and wallet were still present in the glovebox....The fact that most of the glass was on the floor OUTSIDE the car, suggests that it just kind've....Exploded....In the way that apparently affected early Smartcars (Although mine never did it!)....Do we know if this is a common occurrence, or am I just "blessed"?

Yes...That was it....Amigo....Suppose it's a sign of impending old age that my memory is already playing tricks on me!

Thinking of vans....Or more specifically, pick-ups....Have You ever wondered where Skoda found the inspiration for this?....

O.k, so the Talbot doesn't have the Skoda's clever pop-out rear seat arrangement, but it shows that the idea of a "lifestyle pick-up" wasn't a new one!
