  1. Mamma Mia! I didn't realise that Fiat 128s were made as late as 1981. Bidding currently at £102. Not a Zastava
  2. A shonky looking Toyota Carina II on face ache: £1,500 Aylesbury area
  3. Is this Sierra Sapphire 2.0 GLS worth £13k? 50,000 miles. 1991 J reg
  4. Can I ride with you, In your BMW? You can sail with me, In my yellow submarine. Curious shade of green. Citroen Xsara to the left of the photo too. 1987 BMW 735i
  5. My old 1990 Rover Mini Racing Green that I owned between 2001 and 2002. Cooper lookalike of course but based on the 998cc City. It lacked the opening rear windows of the Cooper's.
  6. I actually sold a 1972 FA cup version of this on eBay a couple of months ago. I think it was my uncle's and ended up with my parents' LP collection after he died. The coins were of the football teams and the coin representing Newcastle United was missing. Sold it for around £16.
  7. "California Knows how to party California-a-a-a..." How could I forget? My parents owned this damaged repaired limited edition Astra California 1.4 hi torq. Based on a Merit - but you green coach stripes and black cloth seats! Very "West Coast gangsta" don't you think?
  8. 1985 Nissan Laurel brochure. 7 minutes long. @Spottedlaurel just thought I'd tag you in.
  9. Opel too with the Senator 3.0e CD (and Monza?).
  10. Ditto the 1990 - 1993 Vauxhall Nova Trip.
  11. I was elated to spot this Citroen ZX Elation 8 years ago: And there was the ironically named Nissan Bluebird Premium. Which was base spec with keep fit windows.
  12. Sorting through a stack of papers for recycling. Found a front page to one of my old college assignments from 25 years ago...
  13. Afraid not. Must be this data protection legislation. I was curious to know where the previous owner of mine lived. Mine's Essex registration, bought by myself in Suffolk, currently in Norfolk.
  14. It was a shame that Audi discontinued the A2. I always liked them.
  15. Bloody hell - bidding is up to £8,800. I could have had one of these or a Capri for a few hundred quid in the 1990s.
  16. The purple Merc Sprinter across the road (and whatever the white thing is)?
  17. I never owned one but my friends at college owned various mark 2s. This was the late 1990s so they were cheap A to B transport by then. One had an XR2 that was sadly written off by a third party and was replaced with a gold 1.3 Ghia. I think Ford could reintroduce a supermini in the future but it will likely be electric only or some other power source.
  18. Similar situation with this one I'd wager:
  19. Does it do that annoying nannying 'boing boing' whenever the key is left in the ignition?
  20. I do like a phase 2 P6 V8. Nice one.
  21. Proton Persona Compact 1.5 GLS automatic with 12,241 miles A good bet? No MOT, £995.
  22. ^ Remember those halcyon days when Ladas were once cheap and cheerful* cars?
  23. 2018 Hyundai i10 1.2 SE (June 2021 - present) The Nissan Almera (reviewed on page 3) was traded in for this. I just fancied a change and resented spending any more money on the decaying Nissan. Fancied a city car this time: a commuter car that will also cope with a modest grocery shop. A stretch of the imagination it may be but I think of this as a modern 'Renault 4'. The 1.2 SE was just the spec I needed - lowest one that had the larger 87 bhp 1248 cc Kappa engine (over the 1 litre 3 cylinder unit) AND air conditioning. I get around 46 - 46.3 mpg . The next spec up is the 'Premium' which looks much snazzier. Positives: It is such an easy car to drive and is a hoot. Ideal learner car. Very well equipped for a mid range spec. Has been extremely reliable. My Hyundai dealer have sorted some issues out when it was still under the original warranty. Decent performance for a non turbocharged car with 87 bhp on faster roads but needs working through the gears. The blue tooth phone device has come in handy a few times. There is a 3 point rear seatbelt to make this a 5 seater (albeit a bit optimistic). Negatives: Despite the high equipment specification a few things lacking on this SE that I would have liked are a CD player and an intermittent rear wiper. These are features that the 2003 Almera had. I would have traded in the rear electric windows and cruise control for those. A pair of coathooks above the rear doors would have been nice as well. The rear seats do not fold down flat. Interior is a bit funerial but the higher Premium spec addresses this. Some body roll and can be a bit skittish when pushed. I currently have an issue with a squeaky near side wheel bearing or brake at 50 mph+ but I haven't had the time to get it booked in to a mechanics.
