I pulled a bit of steel plate out of the river a few months ago, and since it's about the right size I figured I'll give it another go at making a registration plate for the tractor. I could just order one online for £16, but I figure a hand painted one on a rusty plate with holes in is more in keeping with the vehicle.

Not if combined with a 50 mile radius of the middle of nowhere and under a grand. How about browser notifications?

Chap a few villages down organises the local tractor runs, and chatting to him he offered me a spare oil bath to carb pipe. I ordered the rubber hoses to join it on and stuck it on today, together with the battery out of the Trafic which I kept.

That's the first car that stereo has ever been fitted in, it's been in storage since the insurance company provided it after my dad's 98 almera was broken into for the second time. The tape deck works fine, but I don't know why the radio didn't work. The previous stereo didn't work for the radio either, and I even replaced the aerial to see if that was it.

Aye, though if I got travel sick driving it as I did last week, I wouldn't fancy being in the boot much at all.

Duster has done about 800miles now. Averaging 52mpg brim to brim. Its even taken me to the pub, and has gone through a number of fords (we do live in Weardale after all). Today's exciting progress was a set of genuine rubber mats.

Isn't that a legal requirement, so that it's not a pair of white lights coming towards you? I thought that one reversing light and one fog light was the law..
