Question for the Sherpa Coupe botherers.
A friend of a friend has a 1981 LE Roadster he wants to move on and I've bee asked to help as apparently I'm a classic car expert.
Allegedly mint with 48k, off the road in a heated garage since 2007.
3 owners, all handbooks, passport to service and a folder full of paperwork.
Whats it worth?

I've used him for dealer stickers, tax disk holders and engine bay stickers. Very helpful and his work was top notch.

RIP Mr. Numbers.

The last car on my "Want List" Jaguar XJ-S Pre HE.
I bought this 1979 car with my usual m.o. over the phone on the strength of a description from the owner and one grainy photograph....

Wow, those both look fantastic! The 200 is especially neat, I reckon I could even get on with those leather seats despite not being a prole (and therefore not wanting to sit on leather). I had a semi serious bid on a project 1980s Audi 100 a while back but it went for more than I had at the time and I've sort of regretted it ever since. Gold with beige tweedy cloth interior amd brown plastics. Just beautiful and I haven't seen another one since.
How do your ones drive??
They drive quite well for 30 year old barges. They are similar in some respects and quite different in others, If I could only have one it would probably be the 200.
I also had that gold 100 CD on my watch list, it was in Leeds IIRC

Tresser 200. It was acceptable in the 80's.

Blimey that exhaust looks like quite a project
Thankfully a guy in Luxembourg has done all the hard work and and sells them.

Fleet update.
I bought this last year, 1990 Audi V8. I really didn't want another car but it was too nice to turn down....
It came from the Audi U.K. classic collection so it is structurally and mechanically sound but it did need a few things sorting out.
First job was a new exhaust.

I'm looking for a picture of a dealer sticker from W. Grose Eurocar in Northampton. A VAG dealer in the 90's

Very nice indeed.

The sender unit had disintegrated and is NLA so they adapted an off the shelf one to fit.

Thread refresh after The Great Photobucket Disaster of 2017.
New speedometer cable made using the end of the original.
My NOS water pump failed shortly after fitting so both were rebuilt by E.P Services in Wolverhampton.

I would avoid the Powerspark distributors which are 100% Chinese.
Thinking it would be a good upgrade I bought a full kit for the SD1 (including two faulty ignition modules) it gave no end of grief. In the end the garage had to refit the original to work on the car. They will be fitting a Pertronix kit in the new year.

Can any shitters in the Midlands recommend a decent and reliable classic car restoration garage?
No body work, some reassembly and recommissioning.
