Nice purchase. Also nice to see it repatriated back to Scotland - ‘SP’ is a Dundee area code.

Interesting watch - I was talking to a chap who works for the police as a civilian driver and he says that Norfolk Constabulary are phasing out the BMW’s and have taken delivery of a load of Volvos…

That’s only vinyl stick on shit, that’ll come off easy enough, you can see it peeling around the mileage readout housing.

High-mileage 1.3 CDTi and a list of MOT PHAILS means it doesn’t look too promising for this one.

Holy thread resurrection Batman! Here’s a very early Mk7 Fiesta on an ‘08 plate. They were launched on a ‘58 plate so this one is a pre-launch model. I’ve only ever seen one more ‘08’. on eBay… https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166083823234?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=z4E5EFEsTfu&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=2OenAfhOTCK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Not very shite but I bought my Hyundai Matrix recently and when it needed work doing, I was given a courtesy car by the garage. This one. It’s only a Fiesta 1.4 Dizzle but I fell in love with it and I had a plan hatched in my mind to buy it and give the Hyundai back to the garage. The dealer even said he wouldn’t say no to the deal. However SWMBO was mildly annoyed* at the prospect so I chickened out of the deal. I was absolutely gutted to hand it back. it’s rather silly and embarrassing to say it, but it really upset me that I couldn’t have it. One day (if they’ve still got it) then it could finally be mine for good and that would be the only car I’d ever need for the rest of my days. * raging.

That looks brilliant! Dangly mirror FTW.

A friend of a friend is selling this SOLID GOLD SHITE Rover 75 in 2.0 Dizzle & Mills flavour. I’ve no idea about it, just that’s it’s sex on wheels and stupidly cheap. Have some images.

If @Crusty Sillscan’t collect or store it for any reason, then I can go and collect it. I’m about 30 minutes from Attleborough if that helps?

Spotted on facearse marketplop. Drivers door in Cardinal Red at Attleborough in Norfolk. EDIT: I think it also comes with a DANGLY MIRROR TOO.

This thread has made my heart very full. Just chucked a tenner across, hopefully that’ll buy a rattle can or the windscreen wiper arm nut covers that it needs.

There’s a Mk1 being broken for spares just up the road from me if anything is needed? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195282076305?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=-gB9UgnDRpu&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=2OenAfhOTCK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

It will be for sale at South Norfolk Classics at Diss in Norfolk in the next few days. I’m sure they’ve got a website and a faceache page 😁 -

In other news, the local classic car garage near me has something very familiar coming up for sale soon. It’s the Wolseley that shared driveway space with Pig Iron (and HubNut’s Omega) many moons ago. -
Rocking Horse Shit Rare things that have been scrapped

I still feel upset about the prototypes that were at MG Rover when they folded in 2005. A few of them could have been saved and made road legal for not a lot of dosh. Obviously the success story of it all was the pre-production 75 that is well-documented about, that managed to escape the crusher. If I had a choice then I would have saved the 75 Tourer that had the Land Rover Freelander 4x4 drivetrain attached to it (I think). That would have been a lot of fun! -
It may well have not had the certificate of destruction issued in which case it would still be on SORN. A few breakers yards still do this.

I would be able to clear the confusion up with a trip to Ford Etis, but unfortunately they’ve withdrawn the service because we are a nation that needs to be controlled and not allowed to browse at nice things.

My contribution - the wonderful Hyundai Matrix. Largely snubbed and forgotten about due to it’s apparent lack of attractive styling, they are a competent and useful little car.

Mostly dull moderns, there are a few older vehicles such as a ‘04 Golf and ‘53 Clio. The guy who I work with drives a mint T-plate Seat Arosa in frog green. Theres a chap who’s into his American stuff and sometimes comes in with his ‘97 Dodge pickup. There is however a guy who has a lot of nice Alfa stuff and has been on a certain YouTube channel…

Correct, it seems to have painted extras which all should be black. I’d quite like to bring it back to original spec. Probably supplied by Dagenham Motors when new so repro plates wouldn’t be a problem, just finding the plate bottom trim with the Dagenham Motors inscription may be a task.
