Rod/b got a reaction from Jim Bergerac in LightBulbFun's Invacar & general ramble thread, index on page 1, survivors lists on Pages 24/134 & AdgeCutler's Invacar Mk12 Restoration from Page 186 onwards, still harping on...
Must be a good one - the ad says rhe body has no rust and hasn’t been welded…
Say what you like about Trabants, even they are infinitely better vehicles than any invacare will ever be.

The fuck? This is proper council estate FB marketplace cuntery. If you buy a 30 odd year old car sight unseen based on photos where its clearly just had a bucket of water chucked over it, you’re taking a risk and you get whatever turns up. Some you win, some you lose.

Love the fact that this ad has photos of the interior, clearly showing a can of easy-start within arms reach of the driver’s seat.

From the person who spammed the fuck out the forum dropping invacars into every thread I really have to laugh. I don't think you realise just how many people you pissed off, then you complain when your thread gets taken off course slightly by some humour.

Gentlemen - a request, if I may.
Please can we agree not to link directly to FB marketplace images as they break when an ad is removed. This thread is just becoming a wasteground of broken image links.
Thanks!

My grandad used to have a 2.0 Ghia, B454OLX. I remember him proudly coming to show us when he first bought it, and my Dad ruining the occasion by pointing out that the B-OLX number plate said “Bollocks”.
Anyway for the 8 year old me bought up to the point on a diet of BL tat, the car was a revelation with its pepperpot alloys, the little LCD display of the car showing when the doors / boot were open, the digital stereo cassette player with 4 (count’em!) speakers, automatic aerial and joystick control, the built in cassette storage box… Not to mention the luxurious seats and 4 x electric windows (although to be fair our Acclaim had that too). This thing lives up to its number plate, it was THE B-OLX.
