The classic F1 film “Grand Prix” is about 2 hours too long.

And Bullitt is a slow and boring film other than the chase scene.

Abu Dhabi. The roof goes up if i’m not driving it apart from at work where i have an air conditioned car park. I dare say it will be too hot to drive roof down soon anyway. Luckily the a/c is now the coldest i’ve ever experienced on any vehicle.
I had to fix the roof the other day as it just stopped working even though the pump was running and the fluid level was as it should be. Conventional wisdom says that in such a scenario the pump is internally kippered and needs replaced at £££££ which upset me greatly. However one random post i happened upon from 20 odd years ago on some SLK forum mentioned the possibility that the brass screw for the pump bypass valve sometimes might become not sealed, causing these symptoms and to try unscrewing it, cycling the pump and then doing it up really fuggin tight to reseal it. Worth a try before the wallet emptying I thought - and it only bloody worked! Hurrah! Wonder how many folks have forked out best part of a grand to have a new pump fitted, or worse parted out a car thinking it’s beyond economical repair, when undoing a screw and doing it up again might have saved them?
Other than that since i’ve bought it apart from a damned good service, i’ve adjusted a window and replaced a roof seal, and all is well.

I once saw a Minor on a prefix B plate at Waitrose in Berkhamsted. I’ve literally no idea how that happened.

In all seriousness though did they take a lot of balancing? The red dot should be aligned with the valve stem to minimise the amount of weight they need.
