    Another job done: Cataract Surgery
The headlights had developed some pretty bad yellowing since I bought it, so based on a recommendation from a thread on here I attacked them with a Holts restoration kit.
The results speak for themselves, it looks years younger.

Still haven't fixed the air con, handbrake and Coolant leak, and it's just started a slight clonk from a bushing in the front somewhere. Leaving that one until the MOT and they'll hopefully locate it. A few jobs on the list then, but all easily achievable in the fullness of time.
    Still love it. ❤️

TBF it is up here too.  Oh but these tyres are lush.  It's a few years since I've had a set of brand new tyres all round on a car.
I'm a bit worried that my first reaction to the failsheet was to panic.  Before 2018 I don't think that would have happened.  It doesn't bode well for me being Head Nurse for the next few months!

ETA - owner should definitely be on here. I was behind him in the supermarket queue. He:
    1. Wore a lot of brown;
    2. Bought almost exclusively tinned food; and
    3. Paid in cash, down to the correct pennies.

Off to our next stop, we'll be back to Spa though when those pesky racecars have buggered off so we can have a play.
    Have some rammel

Destination achieved. First day on track for both cars at Assen tomorrow. None of us have been and none of us have a clue about the circuit. We're preparing by drinking beer and eating steak👌

That all sounds a bit shit Eddy, but if it's any slight consolation my buddy at work has just had his second hip replacement and is already up and about, albeit on sticks after a couple of weeks so it might not be as bad as you think. We're expecting him back late October.
Hope Mrs RR has a speedy recovery, you can worry about the cars later.

Spotted in my home town yesterday. Was really tidy and had a hub nut sticker in the right rear window. Followed it out in my Carlton 👌

And back home after stopping to see a mate and finding a guy on Facebook marketplace locally selling a spare wheel which I was missing -it has a spare wheel well full of LPG tank. He also has a pile of spares from breaking one so may come in handy.
I'd been idly browsing for one of these for a while having owned one 10 years ago. They are very old school, like a slightly modernised Range Rover Classic to drive. I like them.
The guy has owned this one for 10 years and I am the 3rd owner.
It's a 4.7 H.O. Platinum which was a run out model based on the top of the range Overland.
Have some pics from the ad.

    Known faults:
    Noisy rear diff(fluids ordered)
    EML on for lambda sensor
    Bonnet cable knackered
    Needs an aux belt
Standard stereo cuts out occasionally - it'll be getting replaced so no big deal.
It drives pretty well. It feels a bit loose but has got big fuck off live axles under it and has done 146k. It's a nice place to be and cruises well.
I'll give it a once over and a tidy up and will then drive it. It'll hopefully earn it's keep dragging the Manta back from Gingernutz and, sadly, hauling a dead Porsche/Porsche engine about.

I meant to post this before but forgot.
As those who have been will attest to, there is plenty of stuff to do in Budapest.  But if you get bored there is a hidden gem of a museum of artefacts from the 70s/80s State Socialist (communist) area including a lot of vehicles and automotive memrobilia
    https://automuseums.info/hungary/retro-design-center
its  not in Budepest itself but about 30-40 mins on a train to a very picturesque riverside town called Szentendre
The added bonus is that the train that takes you there is also a reminder of the bygone era

Some pictures of the cars and other items on display
