I've still got two full rhd dashes left if you want to convert it,   I bought 5 as done a few now,  
They're very easy to convert and the mk1 is  easier again. 

Yes they definitely last well in eu land.      This one was the very first car bought and collected from Germany and popped in yesterday for coffee and still with the mate that bought it after all the work I did on it, still looks just as good as the day I first set eyes on it on the guys drive all those years ago.  Can't be arsed to hunt for the collection thread to see how long ago it actually was.

Following night I cleaned surfaces ready for rebuild.  

So the time for run number 7 is approaching fast and it's back to mull again, well did say we'd be back. 
Anyhoo the colt has leaked oil from the head since i bought it and I've even had the headset for 10 of them 😃  patience is a virtu or so they say.  
Took the bull by the horns and the result one heed off.   Took all of an hour and every single nut and bolt was easy to remove, I actually stripped it with a quarter inch socket set my go to tool set. 

This one's a v6 tdi 3 litre  and 300bhp so no slouch for such weighty things, still do 46mpg and £180 per year to tax.

That's not as true as it used to be the price has shot up quite considerably nowaday as well as the poor exchange rate,   Think some countries have realised the cost of classics elsewhere and are rising accordingly. 
The Croatian dood that sold the galant said he's upping his prices accordingly as plenty traders are fishing in his waters.

Loaded and about to head north. 
 

This one's now 4 year old and as I've mentioned before other than a roof leak it's been fine.  I've driven it since my boss bought it new as his fifth vehicle in the fleet, the adaptive cruise is excellent for long journeys and you never know there's a trailer ont back.
