RAC control asked what was being done about the dogs. I replied FUCK all. I did ask if the call was being recorded first.
-
There was a thread about this on a recovery forum. It turned into a C&S slagging off fest so had to be taken down
-
Wow thanks ruffgeezer! There was very little hn the van, we offloaded to finish the job
-
At this stage, the ongoing problem is I have no direct number for customer 'service'. I have either an 0800 (40p/min from my mobile) or an 0333 number that often cuts off in around 10 mins. All of this adds to my frustration and anger. At no point has anybody called me since the incident. Even if the promice to

TBH Craig I never looked at it like that. A LWB Luton could now gross 4.1 ton legally. All the more reason to send a much bigger vehicle. The second truck was a 12 tonner. My main problem with this is 1 how badly the RAC performed before the C&S truck failed 2 the actual failure and how that was handled 3 how the RAC are handling the case now thanks for the kind words and spelling correction! I am now preparing for another day on hold to the RAC
-
Sorry that should be garibaldi and not Corsaviour and l think l am getting too touchy about all of this. 3 hours sleep will do that to you
-
Do like the arsehole shredder comment tho.
-
Corsavior are you havin a laff? Poor attempt at humor if so. The C&S chimp was muttering about him not earning if the truck wasnt, and the dogs were the least of his worries. He didn't lash it down at all at the back, allowing the axle to twist as the weight shifted. If you think these are the actions of a seasoned pro you must be mistaken.
-
I will be very happy to go to court over this. I am sure they will try to claim the van was in some way to blame. They wanted to take her away and 'store it safely' in C&S's yard. Yeah right, as if.
-
Sorry still in shock.
-
My problem now is the RAC. Hanging on hold for 10 mins then getting cut off pissed me off. After I pointed out the Standard article I gnt am incident number and manager.
-
I called the fire brigade cos it was clear C&S didnt know WTF they were doing. Wasnt letting them near the van with a lifter
-
The bed twisted like a slice of melba toast as it was raised. This whole thing has shortened my life by years. How l didnt kill the chimp from C&S l dont know.... Petrol was pissing out of the tank and random spectators wandered around smoking. Oh and 2 of me dogs were in the cab the whole time. I called 999 cos mr C&S wanted to hiab the van upright and called out one of thier police style lifters
-
Yes got the spec back but locks are fooked. Sorry but l didnt call C&S Motors, l called the RAC, so hold them responsible. The pass side springs are fooked and the back axle is floating. We are down a van for work now too

The last time I offered the ins AT THE PO it was handed back without without a glance and the statement we dont check ins any more, the DVLA will fine you if you dont have it. They are online for the MOT.
-
You havent been asked for proof of insurance for over a year at the PO and its not checked online. The DD can only be used for continuous tax, so theres no way of getting just one months tax instantly. SORN used to cancel the tax and you had to send back the disc for a refund. Is this automatic now, if you paid say 6 months? Maybe thats a way round having to tax more than a month up front?

Mine aren't meant for close up scrutiny. They flash past and might be readable in one frame....
