  1. Seems two of these are coming to friends of mine in Wales. Will the Daihatsu fit in the back of the 406?
  2. Sadly, even less time than the last time Brian attended! Might need a briefing pack LBF as I really struggled to recall my Invacar knowledge when filming yesterday. Got a nice video shot of Brian leaving.
  3. Yup, per car. Purely so we can keep an eye on numbers.
  4. 187 of 200 tickets claimed so far. Looking forward to this. Very simple meets. Folk turn up, folk natter with each other, folk go home.
  5. Very true. Someone looking to restore will definitely prefer something rusty but untouched to patched up. Sad times but definitely been there!
  6. Absolutely the end of an era. Sadness.
  7. That's bloody horrific. We'll definitely feed that back.
  8. That was a bonus! Absolutely unrelated to the event. I didn't even know about it until someone mentioned it on the day.
  9. The name was a problem in some ways, as our ethos has always been All Wheels are Welcome, not actually just rusty stuff. We did not want any entry criteria at all as that inevitably leads to people complaining about that is/isn't worthy. The ticketing is something we're not happy about but stems from the fact that the people had to buy tickets in the museum and the only way for us to have sight of the cars booked in was with an entirely different system. It added complications we didn't really want, and yes, there was conflicting info here and there. Food for thought for sure. Similarly, the original intention was only to have Vanden Plas parking. Mayfair was drive by exceedingly strong ticket demand. Communication - yes, we're probably guilty of too much FB but we didn't really have any other one place that people were engaging with so strongly. Something to consider next time. Overall, the day itself seemed to go very well. Having two arrival times raised some eyebrows but the result was we were never swamped. Thanks for the feedback. It'll be included in our post-event review.
  10. Thanks for coming folks. Still can't get over how the event was everything we wanted and more! Such a relaxed vibe. Now I shall sleep for many days...
  11. We're on Plan B ourselves because the Berlingo has ruled itself out...
  12. We may have to rename the Mighty Dacia... Bums! Bear in mind if you have an £11 ticket, you need a pass to enter the show or it's likely the museum will demand an extra fiver to not be in the show (not our rule). We genuinely do not mind if you bring a daily.
  13. Well this is my cup of tea! Often see these over in NL. I may be heading over there later this year if parts still need fetching over.
  14. Holy shit. You can actually get colourful ones?!
  15. I think the museum can take an additional fiver on the day to change your booking but please don't worry about the car being a 2020. We've got more modern than that coming. It fits the open vibe.
  16. Bit of an issue with that. The museum is expecting anyone with an exhibitor ticket to be parking in the show (only found this out ourselves yesterday during a site visit). We have zero problems with moderns in the show. All wheels are welcome! Just put a Q&A video up on the channel and we've got lots of info at rustival.co.uk - we'll be sold out of exhibitor spots very soon!
  17. Drove a Nissan (actually Mitsubishi) kei truck last year and it really surprised me. 660 automatic (not CVT) and it went surprisingly well, albeit unladen. Wouldn't want to drive down a motorway in one but more than a match for a VW T2 I'd say in performance terms.
  18. Yes, because we're trying to get an idea of the cars there ahead of the show, though you can change the vehicle by emailing - preferably at least a few days ahead.
  19. Knew it had moved on and I've been tagged now it's up for sale again. Hope someone saves it. I know of three survivors out there now (including my old one)
  20. The Sierra would be very welcome. This isn't your typical show, so cars don't have to be a certain age, or a certain standard. But, no reason why you can't choose one of our discounted tickets and ask to park in the main car park.
  21. Please check junk mail. Quite a few seem to have ended up there.
  22. Good stuff! Sorry for the delay. As you can imagine, it's been a bit hectic. Someone has gone through every single application. As it happens, the museum is letting us have more space so the 350 is one section and then the overflow will, I suspect, be just as interesting and diverse again.
  23. I think the main reason I sold my Scimitar (12 bloody years ago!) was the obvious reason...
