  1. I dropped the Puma off at my friendly mechanic this morning, the rear suspension was noisy & the prime suspect was the shock absorber top mounts. I get a call just after 10.00,he says one of the shocks has burst,& is leaking fluid. This is not the end of the world, but they were only fitted in September for the MOT & I didn't use it over the winter. I contacted the garage who did the MOT work. They were very helpful, saying that they should be under warranty,& they will contact the supplier. I got a call back later, they've spoken to the supplier who says the warranty is only for six months,so has run out. They're still hopeful that they may be able to get something back from the supplier due to the low mileage covered, but I'm not expecting this to end in my favour 🙁
  2. Miss_155 rung me last week. She said she'd got me some cars from the charity shop she volunteers at sometimes, but that I might not like them all.I wasn't sure what to expect 🤔 First were these Yesteryears, not my sort of thing, although I do quite like the Packard Next was this Corgi Mini,I do quite like these but this one has had a hard life The best came last though,it was this Corgi Lotus Elan It's in just the sort of condition I like them in,although the tyres had turned rock hard & were crumbling I had this one I got last year,I'd bought it a new set of tyres,a driver,& a screen which I haven't fitted yet Five minutes later,& I have this one. It's one of my favourite finds this year 😁
  3. The Majorette Citroen I mentioned yesterday with the odd wheels.I think the boat in the background may have come from @Datsuncog many years ago 😎
  4. Some of my Tomicas(and a pig!)Some of these are from the @Datsuncog collection too 😀
  5. I think they had those wheels because they had pins on them to operate the mixer drum, like Matchbox Rolamatics.Pretty sure the Citroen Dyane Maharadja had the same ones to operate the parasol.
  6. Are the two on the left Rockets or Juniors?.If they're Rockets,I'll have them please.
  7. Not sure,no name on it so I'll let you decide
  8. They were just over £21 posted, quite happy with that. The Foden I posted at the weekend was £10 from an antiques place,it even had one of those price tags with the string 😁.There's still some reasonably priced stuff around.
  9. A box of cars was waiting when I got home today. The one I was most waiting for was this Dinky Transit A bit disappointed that the front spoiler was broken, but it's not bad apart from that 😀 The rest of the cars included some Matchbox Some Corgi Some Tonka & a few odd bits & pieces
  10. I knew it was a Foden as I'd been looking for the parts on eBay.No idea why I put Scammell🤪
  11. Darda Buggy isn't that good.Missing a headlight,chrome is tarnished(might clean up),& someone has stolen the engine 😂
  12. I only went to one local car boot this morning & came away with these Called into a nearby antiques place on the way home & picked this Dinky Scammell I'd seen it yesterday, but left it because of the missing front bumper. However,Steve Flowers sells reproductions,so that'll be another part to add to the list when I get round to placing an order.
  13. That Majorette Plymouth Fury is amazing,it hasn't even got any broken lights 🤩
  14. Liked because my Dad had both a grey Peugeot 403 & a black & white Volvo Amazon during the seventies
  15. It's very similar to the Corgi Whizzwheels version, although the Pilen is LHD,I didn't know that as mine has no dash or steering wheel They're identical in size The Tomica Dandy is close as well, although the grille is quite different
  16. The extra bit of plastic looks like a connector for the yellow Matchbox Superfast track
  17. Not much car boot luck here either.Having a couple of nights away,so visited a couple that I only get to 2 or 3 times a year. All I found were these,a plastic copy of a Majorette Citroen GS Camargue,& a Volvo Estate from a Kinder egg 😂 The Camargue has a hole in the back with a spring in it,for some kind of launcher?
  18. Just back from my local toy fair where I spent a whole £1.00 on this Corgi Pontiac Firebird It's missing the screen & dashboard,& one headlight.Hopefully I can get these from Steve Flowers 🤞
